I still think McDonald is rather harshly judged based on the fact the formation didnt suit him. With Stephenson it doesn't matter if the formation suits him or not because he still butchers chances left, right and centre.

So... Not so long anymore and we try to open a new chapter!
Here is the set-up.

Our keeper is...

Anthony Parker! He is 25 years old and plays by manager naphtali.

We play with these defenders...

Carl Agostino! Wow, what a great defender. Only 24 years old and a great future before him. He can become one of the best defenders in sokker.

Boby Midtsian! He gets his chance. Vivski is famous for his strong defenders. Let`s see what he can do!

Dustin Hunter! A really tall defender. Should get the headers.

Jim Kohler! He is in great form and knows Midtsian from the club. They can hold the defense together.

In our Midfield der will play 5 players.
4 from the 5 palyers are in the same team. All play by naphtali. These players are the future from our midfield.

Adrian Villafane! His chance to show his new coach, that he can be an important player also in a not U-game.

Cormac Libbesson! I like players like him, with much defender skills. So let`s see how he can help us tomorrow.

Josip Puca! Puca is so strong, wow! He is the boss in the midfield. Also in future and in the A-team.

Scott Stewart! He can be a big one too. I`m impressed from naphtalis players.

Shane Thompson! Is the 5th midfielder. Old but oho :) He has to bring the balls to the only striker.

Striker

Scott Stephenson! Score striker, score. This is the only job he has to do. He is in the best age, this and next season he has to score our goals. And: He should start tomorrow!

So, its a young and talented team.

Nice to see a couple of my lads get a run. Shame about the injury to Nesic. He's only half a step behind the other two. He'll be there next season.

I'm surprised to see Parker there. I thought he was a way down the keeper list. He isn't in the NTDB is he?

don't know, I never had access to the seniors DB all these years... Cometer can answer that one.

I think 5 caps in one game might be my record.

Parker is probably lucky to get in, though his secondaries are coming along they still don't meet the NTDB requirements. (SuperD GK in unearthly form isn't bad though)

Is Stephenson seriously better than Maras? Wow...

It's a shame though that I sold Maras to the wrong coach...I don't even know if he actually trained :/

Now he;s getting more straight, though he had the potential to be 3x superdivine...

To clear a few questions: It will be a U-26 game today. Thats the reason why there play a few players that aren`t normally in first 11. But I got the chance to have 2 older players.

Only 4 hours to the start...
...and I talked with naphtali. He is the owner of 4 (!!!) starting-midfielders today.

1) 4 from your players will be in the first 11 from the Nationalteam. Have you ever had this?
I think I might have achieved this before. I had Jose Maras as well as all these midfielders for a while.

2) How do you feel about that?
Quite a few seasons back I targeted building a great all-Australian midfield to train long term. Stewart and Libbesson are from my own youth school, bringing in some of their under 21 team members and continuing their training has been really rewarding.


3) How big is the interesse in the Australian Nationalteam?
I used to follow the Australian NT a lot more (making videos of all goals at the end of each season for example) but for various reasons I haven't been watching as closely in recent seasons.

4) Can Asutralia be back in the first 30 in future?
Absolutely. Although as time goes by and our community hovers at around the same numbers it is steadily becoming a difficult level for our players to maintain. I am a firm believer in attacking football against all opponents, and believe it has been a big part of Australia's best NT results.


5) Whats the result from Australia against Israel?
Australia 2 - 1 Israel
Australia win the midfield and supply Stephenson with enough chances to get the job done.



It`s great that there wrote many managers in the forum until now. Of course it would be even nicer, if you write soemthing after (during) the game. You can critize :)
