Asunto: [NT] Australia against Egypt

This saturday the Mini-World-Cup starts.
Misr (Egypt) is the first oppunent. They are ranked on the 91th position, from 97 countries.
This shows only one thing: A clear win is a must.
Coach tortilla is experienced. He plays in Polska II. league. But that doesn`t matter. Our player sare bether.

I will surelly play with 2 strikers. I think it will be a 4-4-2.
There will play a few players that didn`t play against israel. I want to see also the best players that are older then 26.

One of the players that will play is Hayden Drum. He is a young striker. And I will write a few words about him today or tomorrow...

So let`s hope for a beautiful game with a clear win.

We play a really offensive 4-4-2.
The 2 site defenders are offensiv, and the wingers too. I want to see a perfect short-pass game from our team. This is my aim.

Hm...
5:0 is not sooo bad. But we created 30 chances and did score only 5 times. Thats bad. Maras was horrible (sorry).
I have to watch the game tomorrow again to write more to the game.
Now, I don`t really know why we couldn`t score more...

We certainly butchered a lot of chances.

I'm not 100% sold on the idea of wingers coming into the box at an NT level. If we are going to employ that I'd rather see them ghost in at the back post for the easiest of headers rather than at the top of the box. I thought we too often had a ball from Willis/Puca/Slater being directed to Thompson high in the box... where he had no idea what to do with it. I'd prefer by far that those balls were sent in the direction of our strikers.

Other than that I don't think there was really that much to complain about, we simply didn't finish our chances.

I watch the start again.
It was a nice game in the beginning. And we scored twice in the first few minutes.
But then we missed chance by chance. And to be honest: I can`t really understand. We had 2 tall strikers on the field. They should have scored more goals by headers.
Hm...

But ok, it doesn`t depend. We won. Next week an other win and we are in the next round :)
