Asunto: S22 - Race to A League & Div II

Thought I'd start this topic early, especially with such an interesting race for AP happening in Season 22

may as well try and figure out who will occupy the 4 demotion spots next season as well :P

Although I think MM could very well do it, the easy bet is Comets. They're a proven A-League team.

The only thing that might fall MM's way is that Comets will be gunning for the Cup and quite confident of promoting even without the AP. I'm guessing the Cup is #1 and training is #2... which leaves the AP a distant 3rd.

They have to be the front-runners off the bat, but I wouldn't be surprised if uber was in the hunt as well.

No point in rebuilding, the majority of my team are still at trainable ages and I've kind of got a setup now where I'm able to build gradually, so you might find 1 or 2 players go from my roster and get replaced whilst still trying to maintain a reasonable squad. Funnily enough, I was confident of winning the A League next season but that's going to have to wait another season.

As for vivski, yeah cup would be close to #1 and training #2 in terms of club management. As for the AP being up for grabs. I think I'd struggle to lose a game in fairness as I play all the "harder" sides early in the league before the cup gets difficult and also at the end after the cups over. So I would assume for me to lose the AP someone else would have to win all 14 games unless I slip up somewhere.

You could get back to the A-League, but with Minkee & uber in the league, it will be hard to get the GD you need to AP. Tong put 10 past you last season... that those out and your season's looking better.

I'll be happy to cause some cupsets & try to break the +100 GD next season.....came close this season & was closing on Tong with a rush towards the end. Hopefully a decent cup run will mean GD doesn't suffer for it.
Shame I was travelling from the UK via Malaysia to Melbourne over the last few days. Missed the quali game & no time to play with tactics much this season with work & RL taking a lot of my time.
Happy to build in div 2 for now....don't think def quite ready for AL yet & a change to more Tech/Pass training means I should have a couple of quality def/mf's sooner.

i am certainly not ready for A-League, but that doesnt mean i will make it easy for Snapper ;-)

I reckon your a chance to finish above me this season. I've just finished a rebuild and am pace training so have about 2/3 of the team who will be 21 or under next season.

Cometer is odds on for AP.
