My GK got injured and got replaced by my 37yo sub 8mn from time... anyone would score against him and that just happened...

Starting again with my trainee strikers...hoping Vivski's serious approach won't kill my recent supporter level boost. ;-l So it's goodbye to the Cup.

Almost a sell out at 59999 to the game. Didn't win but the 600k in gate receipts was appreciated. Amazing what happens when you have fewer fans then the opponent and play at home. Good luck in the final uber.

Thanks Cometer. Was a good game, but we were lucky to get a Comets team in transition. I got double lucky tactically and put my out of form winger against your MID trainee playing in DEF and he owned him.

Amazed at how good my cheapy striker is. I swear that skills mean nothing in this game with strikers. His 196cm frame seems to help his incredible striking skill when it comes to headers though :)

I feel very lucky to get through to the final.

What an utter load of @#$%. To be honest, that is as much as we have dominated a game this season. No real chances to TMP. Oh well. I guess that is the price you play for using a single striker tactic with no form striker (gotta love the keeper save with the ball sitting on the byline for an eternity with no 2nd striker to pop it in)

You know the ME has chosen for you not to win when your striker gets the balls about 10 metres behind the backline, back post on the 18 yard line and unmarked and he pushes it straight to the keeper. No shot.

TMP made the greatest red card cover order ever and then ruined it with a tactic switch which moved the wing back to the other side. Should have had the game wrapped up with an unmarked winger after the red, but TMP got lucky with a bad sub by me followed by an SI to the winger almost straight away.

We were never going to win a shoot out! We don't score single ones, let alone 5 in a row.

On the plus side. no fan drop and a $1.5 million plus gate receipt. I really hope we beat TMP to the title this season. Tonight's game reminds me of the first round loss last season after we dominated. grrrr. I am really starting to dislike TMP.

I was surprised you didn't have a tactic switch in the event of a draw to make it slightly more offensive. That being said you certainly had the lions share of chances and the extra man. Could work out alright though if you win the league as we might then get 2 into the CC although our NT ranking isn't where it needs to be for that at this stage.

With my best striker injured and my weakened midfield, it was always going to be a task of survival today. I made an error switching the tactic "drawing or losing", it should've been "losing by at least 1".
After that, you should've buried it with the open winger. Only having one striker allowed my 3-4 central defenders to cover one guy, which gave me some hope that we'd hold on.
I dare say you had more firepower on the pine than I had on the pitch.

Thankfully despite being SI, Lagrange came on and slotted a pen. Guess it came down to keeper form in the end.

Congrats Vivski! Nothing like sleeping on it to give perspective :) You deserved the win. Still the undisputed best team in Australia.

Cometer - I wanted to play a more offensive formation late on, but the tactic I used had been setup with strange player numbers so that defenders would have gone striker etc etc. I couldn't be bothered fixing it.

I'm a little worried now. Expecting a full onslaught in the A-League title battle!
