Looks like they didn't do the bot cleanse after all (unless they do a re-draw).
And it appears we have a 128 cup, so everyone gets to be on the favourites side in the first round, next round could be the fun one, and with Sx being ranked 36th, he may creep up in to the top 32, leaving only cometer on the wrong side of the draw

That means we have one more cup round than last season and that (minimal) extra $ is ok with me... although now that I think about it I’m not sure whether a well arranged friendly yields more cash.

Yeah I think a friendly gives a fair amount more $$$

Just another 3 more losses in the top 32, and DAU will find themselves on the right side of the draw in the final 64 round.

Got the win but I left it late. We'll fix that for the weekend hopefully.

Wow, so many "upsets" that:

Vivski finds himself move up from 28 --> 19
Uber 31--> 20
Gulzzy 34 --> 22
SX 36 --> 23
cometer 59 --> 37

If vivski/Uber/gulzzy/Sx are lucky enough, they could sneak their way in to the top 16 next round.
But for cometer, he has to do things the hard way from now onwards

is it really the hard way though. If I draw a top team imagine the income I can get if I set certain ticket prices. Probably better than floating around possibly for one more round anyway.

But any of the new guys, that is a big thing to remember, if you draw one of the top 10, up that price of tickets a lot. I'm not sure just how much you could get, but I'd be saying more than $30. Probably more than $50. I probably wouldn't go to the max limit of $400 though :D

For any of the new players that are reading this. One newbie replied to my question about what they set their prices too when playing a big team. The reply was basically this (and it's against a team of similar ranking points to me, who after finishing 7th, won their Quali match 4-0)

Benches 28 AU$ - Sold Out
Terraces 26 AU$ - 80% full

So terrace price is probably about right, but the benches could be upped a fair bit. Maybe to $35-$40

Safely navigated through into the 3rd round of the cup without any damage done. Odds are that I'll draw a decent side next week with only 32 left in the cup. We'll see what the draw brings.

BTW awesome to have you back cometer. I have fond (?) memories of trying to come up with tactics against you when I was an up-and-coming team.

Steel Fury and Cook runnings just miss out on a top 16 spot by 1 place and 2 places. It will be interesting to see who picks up the difficult teams and who avoids them. Theortetically, 3 of the 4 should come up against hard teams, but the question is, will those hard teams go in with firsts or seconds?

Yeah, I mean I never really intended to lose my team back in the day (and definitely never meant to leave the game without letting others know) but I lapsed a bit too long in between log ins during a difficult period of time and when I next tried to log in and had lost my team it kind of killed the fun factor for me after spending years setting that up.

Going to be a lot harder for me to beat you these days, especially without plus but I'm up for a challenge :P.
