Asunto: Australia Cup

I won't be able to play next week since I have a Cup game which will in all probability be my last since I'll be playing against the top user from my country. But I'll be able to play next to next week and I can arrange a friendly with one of you, maybe against fantum first since he wants to rectify that one recent training blip and then in the following week I can play against cometer. Of course, it's all based on your availability as well.

I'm planning to sell Bereczki next Thursday who is one my top mid and has been with me for more than 1.5 seasons so that will be a big loss leading up to the games. That's because I'll be focusing on training the local youth players in the future and I have to free up some spots. However, most of my other team will be intact so no problems about that.

No training blip...simply swapped my 1st XI in for last week's friendly. :)

Any thoughts about setting up a friendly league comp for rest of season....if you can get enough starters...I'd be in.

I don't have Plus so I can't start a friendly league on my own. Regardless, we can still start an unofficial friendly league which we can coordinate with using the forum. We'll have to first see who all are interested and then set up games. It's you, cometer (assuming cometer is in) and me for now, maybe there are others in Div 2 who might be interested. Even if 1-2 teams join in, that's more than enough.

Anyone reading this and interested for the league, please let us know.

Absolutely dominated that match, including having multiple free headers on the goal (without the goalie in the way) and one on ones, yet the ME decides that is the scoreline.

A Superdivine Defender gets dribbled front on for the first goal, and the last two goals were just BS ME half chances that I had a thousand of, yet allows them to score.

When the ME doesn't want you to win, it doesn't matter how good your tactic is, and how much you dominate the other team, you just don't win.

I quit watching after the 3rd goal, so assume the stats got closer to evened up in that final 10 min, after watching 80minutes of Ukes saying 'Uncle' to a far superior team

Does home ground add weight to team performance.....something like a 55/45 split? I've always wondered without checking but it would make sense if it did, & might help explain some things?

@KautukP - we have Chile_FC keen on a weekly friendly comp, so if we can get another bite, that's 4 teams at least.

No complaints from me. Chelsea were clearly the better team all game, got beaten all over the park. Not strong enough defenders to only have 3 at the back. Not enough technique or passing out wide. Strikers weren't good enough to take their chances.

Now I know what the measuring stick is. Just have to see if I get some luck (or bouts of insomnia) so I can get the players I'd need to compete at that level regularly.

It happens sometimes. I once lost 2:9 (against BlackVixen) in an Arcade League against a team that I had beaten thrice previously and drawn once. I had stopped watching the game after seeing my team trail 0:7 at the end of the 1st half. And it wasn't like there was a huge gap in the avg mark, his avg mark was better but not that big. To make matters worse, it was the 1st game of the league and it was against a team that I was pretty confident of beating.

Well, who saw the 7-2 Villa v Liverpool, or 1-6 Man U v Spurs coming?!!

The way I read it, that leaves a possible home game against a fellow A League team or v The Nation's Best, who is relatively new in div 2.
