I expected a bit better attendance, but I guess Romaldino's fan mood had a bit to do with it. The week before was rainy, so not a great crowd then either.

Guessing the next match will be a bumper crowd and a big game.

Well the blockbuster second match ended up a bit of a fizzer. TMP with the cash splashed proving they are genuine contender for all competitions from here on in... and I believe they have a large chunk of cash still in the bank?
As for the first game, I’m happy to have got through the league and cup matches this week with all trainees getting 90mins on the park. Stamford offered up an interesting tactic that showed both potential and flaws at the same time. Hopefully the lovely stadium income from a good cup run makes up for the loss.

Yeah noticed that also. With my stud striker injured and my mediocre backup pretty much in a retirement home it was time to pull the trigger. Reasonably happy with the skill level I got for the price, let’s see how he goes!

Congrats on another cup win Aggers. Been slowly getting harder for you with 2 of the past 3 cup finals you getting out shot, but still managing to come up trumps, but hey, you need to put yourself there to have a chance, and you are the only one to put yourself there multiple times in that time frame (and obviously going back a fair bit further too).

Not sure what vivski will do given a lot of his strength is aging, but I'm definitely hoping either way, this loss put more a fire in his belly rather than putting out the flame.

I count 45M in oldies bought that were in the lineup for vivski there today, but noticed a lot of round numbers (so likely intentional overpay to stop the BS a lot of us go through).

I think if he was to sell up and get 30M back, that would be acceptable, with still plenty in the kitty to build a training lineup and get an A-League team still (oldies in non-trainable positions).

What a high quality game that was! agbell's keeper had a blinder and was the difference in the end. My strikers were peppering the goal but couldn't break through. Chelsea hit against the run of play and overpowered my GK. One thing I couldn't lock down from the TL was a top quality keeper.

Seeing our dominance, I was pretty confident even after going behind, but we just couldn't get past the man in goal. Chelsea also had a great offside trap, restricting our better chances. Good to know that we were close enough to be in the game... it only took about 53M put into the TL to get there! Haha.

Well done, agbell. I gave it a good crack to win Cup #10 and break your run, but it's yet another Cup win to you for a well deserved #13. I'll try to arrive in the A-League with a competitive team.

You're right achmid, almost all the players will need to go. This team is massive overkill for div2, I can't sustain the ridiculous player wages without Cup game income, plus by the end of the year they probably won't be A-League quality. Trouble is, they ALL want to stay!! Haha

Send 'em here to the UK, where we can put them on government furlough payments whilst in lockdown!!

Yep, despite the shot-count it was a high quality game to watch. A lot of wasted shots from your guys was probably the difference in the end.
If I had my time again, I would rebuild that tactic. I completely played into your hands trying to go up the guts with the two close strikers. Tulp was immense at DM and constantly blocked service to my strikers. His ball winning alone probably cost me 5-10 more shots.
