Asunto: Australia Cup

Ukes have a good record against me recently, so would have them as narrow favourite in our SF. Hope I can make another final.

Well that was unexpected given how my season has been going, but I'll certainly take it.

Havent had a chance to watch yet, but it's nice to get one Aus cup back on Ukes

Just need our NT manager to get us up some ranking places rather than hovering around the same mark so that we have a chance of a 2nd team in the CC ... I swear I'm trying.

Was looking good for a little while against TMP and then it all went down hill from there. Injury to Krushkov in the 20th didn't help and too often TMP were able to break free of my central defense line. 12 shots to 8 results in a 5-2 game but a number of those shots were from solid scoring positions.

Gives me a few ideas going forwards though. Surprised with my 64 ratings though.

And then there were two. Can't believe I won't have hosted a game all tournament.

I mean thankfully by the time you could host a game the opponent usually has a decent capacity and should sell out anyway.

Well that was a super close, hard fought game.
Felt TMP took the first half (despite me hitting the woodwork 3 times in a row) and I probably had the second half.

Decided to change up the tactic very hastily to push a bit harder, which also left me a bit short at the back.

Didn't like that Pondeljak was being tacked with ease when he is Australia's winger, but he was well marked by the defender.

The result could have gone either way. Certainly glad it wasn't decided by an injury or red card.

Congrats. Another one for your trophy cabinet. Was a very even game by the looks of it. I had almost all my most important players on the pitch, so you earned that one.

I'd be worried if Pondeljak was gliding past Borodycz, who's a divine defender in brilliant form.

Interesting that 4 shots fell to my fill in AM. My regular AM is outstanding striker but Skorupa only weak. He scored but Lenac couldn't from his 4 shots. Maybe one went in off his shin. Funny how that works.

Chaos this week in the cup. Feel alone as the only one of the bottom half of seeded teams to progress. However don’t get a free ticket to the semis because none of the top 4 lost :@

Chaos indeed.
But to be fair, that's probably what makes the top 4, the top 4, consistency.
It's not so much dominating ratings, just consistency of line up, decent tactic, viable trainees to replace older players

Yeah well I might be part of that come next season as I’ve finally bridged the rankings gap to the top 4 whilst opening up a bit of space behind me which will only expand after tonight’s matches.

Let’s start with rants shall we. 43 days worth of injuries for my side alone in that one match. Landulfo (def) for 20, Van rijn (mid) for 14 and Crampton (att) for 9 (whew it was only that). All hacked and ukes got I think 1 yellow. Are you kidding me. Was 4th place in the rankings worth that much to them that they had to go cobra Kai style on me. Jeez.

It’s why even at 6-4 up I was convinced I was going to still lose as I had to pull from my retirement village to field a team. Thank god I have Portland and stamford the rest of this week. I already had Leijer injured and he almost had to play today in the end.

That being said after looking very wobbly still managed to put 7 past ukes and progress through to my first semi final appearance since I rejoined sokker. Yay I get a trophy that isn’t div2 or juniors.
