Asunto: Australia Cup
You won't get my full first XI side yet, too early to start sacrificing training, so you should be competitive.
DAMN! i should i had all my players in! but its all training for my young guys
Could not be more proud of my guys. Yes Cometer didn't play anywhere near a full strength team, and i had players out. I am proud of a couple of my young guns and how they stepped up. Held them out for 3/4 of the game for the only goal. My young goalie..what a trooper! I'd easily say my best game ever in sokker and if i lose to the future champs then ill be happy! :)
Well next round is now interesting. To use 1sts or 2nds. Big decisions for the top 8 now
I thought you'd be competitive given I was going to use a training side and the scoreline at the end showed it. The early injury to Rowley didn't help you though as that brought one of my midfielders who fights for a 1st team place. Thought you'd struggle to create chances so it was just a case of snagging the 1 goal I needed and it came late in the 2nd half.
Edit: Dropped a supporter mood level too which isn't too surprising but I'll accept that if it gives me an extra week of training.

well there goes my newly regained supporter mood
Yeah I knew O'Toole coming on would be a bad thing not a good thing. I tend to basis my teams around defence and if the opportunities come they do. Against you I targeted my defence with decent success. Ah well back to training friendlies mood.
Nevergod this far before. looking forward to playing big 4 next week.
Cup draws cannot be random. How many times does a league/cup double header week get thrown up? Too many for coincidence ;)
I think it's random...to a point...othewise how did I draw Cometer last round.
My take is the top half is seperated from the bottom half for each round, then each match is randomly drawn from a team in each half.

Just as I was getting ready to complain about how soft a couple of tongs goals were (although they missed a couple of harder ones too), thanks to an injury, and resultant subbing, I managed to get a very soft one as well.
Subbing also managed to bite me in the butt too, with my defenders deciding to put the ball backwards, for a corner from the other side of the park, but luckily (for me), the player tongs cornerman kicked too, who was outside the box, decided just to tap it out for a nice goal kick.
Almost losing, serves me right for having 2nds play for majority of the match.
However, it looks like only really vivski won their game on good merits. Cometer had to rely on an injury to chelseas keeper before they could even get on the board, let alone get in front.
Tribe also managed to get his opponents keeper injured, but still couldn't put them away until the rescue subs came on.
Now things get interesting in the Aus Cup. top 4 teams in Aus all in the semis. It may have been just last season this happened (cant remember) but often it isn't. Hopefully this time, whoever wins the cup doesn't win the A-League. Cometers run in the champions cup this season was atrocious and there was noone in backup to cheer on.

That is @$^$&. Pay over the odds for a GK for my first shot at trying for a cup run and he gets injured first half. Replacement was a Very Good GK. What puss.
Plus I am now 3 weeks without my overly expensive GK.
worst time of the season too if you are aiming for a top 4 spot.
Then again, you could also say the best time of the season (if you are just trying to avoid autorelegation)

Did you watch the game or just the report? I would have won with or without the keeper. Chelseas only goal came off a bobbled ball which bounced off the keeper (wasn't even a shot).
Bowen rarely misses penalties, even against top keepers so at worst it would have been 1-1. The amount of chances I had though would have eventually told regardless. From the match report I could understand your logic, but if you actually watched it I doubt you'd be saying the same (at least you shouldn't). Right team won on the day.

I dare you to go better (oh wait, you haven't even gotten there :p). Only 1 side from Australia in the entire time has gone past the 3rd round. The fact I won my opening 2 rounds relatively comfortably before being beaten by a far superior side (not ratings, but definitely with the quality of their strikers who just dribbled my defenders at will) I don't really think it was that atrocious. I'd hate to think what you'd consider all those who got beaten in the 1st round was.
