Looks like II.01 could spawn another promotion. Chelsea on 100 goals after 7 games. Haven't seen than in II in my time in the game. Of course, will greatly depend on what Larikin team turns up at the end.

Didn't look at a few of us too closely then. Whilst I wasn't 100 goals after 7 as such, I scored 134 goals in the final 7 games a few seasons back, helped by a few bots obviously but you get them.

It's becoming more common as those that are almost A League quality seem to stretch away from the rest of the division which is more div III quality than II.

It's still a solid achievement though, it's not easy to put away bags of goals consistently.

Yes it's official... the 'special one' is managing Chelsea. :P
2012-03-30 01:19:14
He won't be so special once in the AL ;p

just teasing... though the AL has a way of putting things in perspective.
The gap between the AL and II is getting bigger.

I was actually going to sell up this season and tank, but I left it too late so I figured I might put some effort in for a change. Turns out I am going alright. No illusions here of doing well in the A-League though, assuming I make it.

There always a few free points for grab...

Time to sell up I reckon.

Your team can definately win a promotion game. I would wait until start of next season. Brutal result - commiserations.

As of Rd 13:

5th DAU (16pts, -6) vs. Harbourtown (II.04, 33pts, +52)
6th Da Minkees (16pts, -10) vs. Chelsea FC (II.01, 36, +173)
7th Trigger Lads (9pts) vs. Melbourne Magpies (II.03 37pts, +75)
8th Snappa Serpent (4pts) replaced by Krayzee Coconuts (II.02, 39pts, +76)

- In the AL, DAU and DM could swap position (DAU-Comets; DM-Snappa Serpents)
- In II.01, Chelsea has enough a lead GD wise and face a 10pt rating weaker opponent
- In II.02, KC will finish 1st but will play Frogmeister (2-0 KC Rd1)
- In II.03, MM will finish 1st but will play FC Bears (though 5-1 MM Rd1)
- In II.04, HBT will finish 1st but will play Tong FC (15pts rating difference)

Krayzee loses and MM gets the AP. Still quitting? I like endings that surprise me :)

And Chelsea gets Trigger Lads. I think Chelsea will beat them too. Maybe not time for Agbell to sell up either...

Feel like I'm APing by default....even though I had a feeling there could be an upset in the final week.

At least the attendance issue may be sorted for a season...then back to reality!

Quali games:
Da Minkees - Harbourtown
DAU - Krayzee Coconuts
Triggers Lads - Chelsea.F.C

MM replaces Snappa Serpents.

At least the attendance issue may be sorted for a season...then back to reality!

Reality is what you make of it :). You've got a great opportunity to stake your claim for staying in the A League (Achmids losing interest, DAU with some ageing players etc), Uber and Minkee have shown the gap to the A League isn't that huge until you start taking on the top 3/4 teams.

Good luck in the new season, you're too good for div II to stay there for large periods of time.

oh wow, that was a massacre, supporters straight up to madly in love lol
2012-05-20 12:05:43
Looks like Krayzee sent out his 2nds :/
Harbourtown can win II's with that tactic?!? Says all you need to know about the strength in Aussie Sokker.
Chelsea vs Triggers looks like a cracking game. Last minute goal to put into into extra time, last minute goal to put it to penalties.

Welcome back to A-League Chelsea :)
