Blagoja [del] para Todos
3. It is forbidden to paste links to pages dangerous to others' computers or Sokker (with viruses, opening many pop up windows, or illegal / copyrighted software). It is also forbidden to paste links to web sites or services for which a benefit will be received (ie referral links).

So it is forbidden to paste links to web sites for which a benefit will be received, BUT HERE IS MY REFERRER LINK FOR SOKKER.ORG www.sokker.org/?buddy=blagoja

This is a two faced system.

Sokker administrators must abolish their referrer link system, and give us no incentive to recruit new managers, or change the forum rules.

I'm ready to fight this two faced system.

This problem can't be ignored, so you can't play the ignorance card.

The person who made that rule was guacamole. This person has a half naked man for their clubs coat of arms, but denies us the right to use referrer links, while Sokker.org promotes the idea, and encourages us to use our Sokker referrer link by giving us free Plus membership, and they are not even a moderator.

For the officials who are not talented enough to understand what I am saying let me know, so I can spell it out for you.

They are slightly different situations. Here's my reasons why (they may not be the exact reason when they were set but it's a start)

1) Referral links are not allowed to be advertised in this game as per the forum rules. That does not mean you can't tell your friend privately outside of sokker. It also does not mean you can't discuss the game on a freestlye forum. Both are valid options to my knowledge.

2) In the case of sokker giving you benefits if you recruit someone and they buy plus, no where does that say to go paste the referral link in other game forums, but rather if you have a friend who wishes to join then you have the option of again privately informing them of the referral.

No ignorance card is currently being played, there's no need to react the way you have in the Australian forums of all places. Your question is valid and I've done In other games I've played they do exactly the same thing, some even go further and fail to even allow the slightest game discussion that's not related to their own game which fortunately doesn't happen here.

If you have problems with this and wish for more clarification let me know and I'll go find a more detailed answer for you. In any case I think it would be unlikely that anything is going to change anytime soon.

As you can see by my mood I am ready to walk away from sokker, and I won't mention how this game will lose a loyal manager over this issue on top of the other loyal managers that have gone. Don't look at how many managers I have recruited by referrer link, because ninety percent of the players I referred didn't use the link, and I'm happy with my progress in helping build up Makedonija from 80 active members to about 130 odd today.

I'm assuming that the rule was made in the forum rules in 2005, and at a later date administration introduced a referrer link for sokker manager, so that rule about referrer links was premature, and needs to be revised.

I'm asking you to edit the forum rules, and remove the rule about referrer links, because it is not a just rule, or justifiable. Sokker.org has a referrer link system with their left hand, but with their right hand they show their insecurities by stopping us from using referrer links from other games. My son is 6, and he can see the wrong in that.

You made me edit my clubs home page regarding the referrer links to other games, but I find out later that I am not allowed to deface those links from the other games that I play. At the same time I advertise Sokker.org on those other games to help this game without a problem.

And how did I react in the forums comets. Just have a good look at your comment in the freestyle forum that provoked me.

That's a possibility and one I'm happy to raise, however as it stands it's in the rules.

Ultimately it's not my call. I can investigate and find out whether it should be changed but I can't edit rules to suit myself or others. It's different though and so it can easily be justifiable (if you choose to see it as such), they don't say go and spam other sites with it. They basically say if you know a friend that wishes to play you can advise them to say you referred them to it as opposed to plastering a referral link which gives benefits to someone else in another game for people that use the link. It's got nothing to my knowledge about insecurities, if it did we wouldn't be allowed to even discuss other games freely.

That's not my problem. Our current rules forbid refferal links and I don't see how I acted inappropriately given you weren't damaged by it. Again, it's something I can look into further but there's nothing I've done wrong there.

And how did I react in the forums comets. Just have a good look at your comment in the freestyle forum that provoked me.

The comment I made provoked you? It wasn't aimed that way at all. If anything, you basically admitted on the forums it was illegal and that you had done it, of course it's going to attract attention. I just thought it was a strange thing to say because I wasn't aware of it until after you mentioned it. Once I knew about it, I had a responsibility to act on it.

Anyway, I'll raise this in the mods forum regarding referral links and if the rule should be removed, my guess is the rule will stay.

As such this pretty much covers the point of this thread and so I'll close it. If there is a change to the rule I'll inform everyone but I'd be very surprised.
