Teosm [del] para Todos
NEW COMPETITION

"WIN AUSTRALIA U21"

Rules:

Each team that belongs to any series, may enter four of their young players, aged between 16 and 20 years, and with no presence in the national team for the competition that will see the three players who, at the end of week 14 will have made more pop ups (pop up in stamina will not be counted), making his debut in the friendly selected for the occasion.
Also we will select another player who is not one of the winners of the competition, at indisputable judgment of CT, based on the possibility of the same to access the national team in the near future!
So do not hesitate to enter the competition talented players with high skill, worrying that because of the high skills will do fews pop ups during the season!
The CT reward not only the talent but also the actual usefulness to the national cause in a hypothetical future :)

The young may be changed at any time, losing pop ups accumulated.

Minimal skills.

- Goalkeeper: Goalkeeping + Pace 12
(minimum goalkeeping skill = good 16/17yo solid 18/19/20 yo)

- Defenders: Defending + Pace = 10
(Minimum defending skill = average 16/17 yo - good 18 yo - solid 19 yo - very good 20 yo)

- Midfielders: Pace + Technique + Playmaking + Passes = 16

- Strikers: Striker + Pace + Technique = 15
(minimum striker skill = average 16/17 yo- adequate 18/19 yo - good 20 yo)

The owner will have to send all the info through this Form

The owner will have to put the player in TA because the player is subjected to the control and verification of the initial skills.

The four winners of the competition will be placed in the TA for a time determined by the staff at least two days for the control of the final skill also by other users!

In case of two or more players with the same points they will be positioned following this order:
Lower age
Total sum of skills
From its own junior school
Date of entry

With regard to the weekly pop ups they must be reported on the forum every week as follows:

example:
John Smith: + 1 in technique, + 1 in playmaking

A few pointers that will need clarification.

1) How do you stop people from cheating? Would be so easy to do, just change 3-4 levels and honestly you wouldn't know any different.

2) Doesn't this competition discourage training for a team and instead train for individual players? That can't be good for longterm club growth and future Australian players.

3) Am I reading this correctly. The minimum requirement for a gk is outstanding keeping, outstanding pace and a total skill set of keeper, pace and passing of 18? A bit further clarification would be needed for the minimum requirements because atm it isn't very clear.

Cheers, don't know if I'd consider this a fair competition though. Favours those who have been around the longest and in general if the competition is to promote interest in the U21 NT and training U21 players then it's not achieving much if people realise they've got no hope of winning this competition anyway.

The requirements to participate are not the correct ones. Teosm will adjust them!

1. When you nominate your player, you have to make your player's skills available with a transfer ad.

2. Don't see a problem there. How many managers have a team of Aussie NT prospects? Good to see the young Aussies getting trained.

My only suggestion would be to only give points for skill pops relevant to the player's assigned position.
So if a player is nominated as def, they get points for pops relevant to def, using the Dream Team formula (1pt for pace & def pop, 0.5pt for tech or pass).

Sounds like a good comp. I will enter McLaren for MID & Medhurst for GK. :)

1. vivski already answered correctly

2. if someone trains i.e. defender, he will train all his players in the skills needed, i don't see the problem, he can partecipate in the competition with 4 defenders if he wants too.

3. maybe the minimum requirement has to be adjusted. We will agree how and i will modify the initial post.

Why it favours those who are around the longest? I think it is the opposite, user with low budget can have their players in the national team even if they are not super skilled as far as they have talent and good potential for the future. Cheap players and players form the youth team has the same chances to win the competion as top class players. Only crappy ones cannot, that's why there are minimum requirements :D

It is an awesome competition

the problem that I see is its complication - there aren't many active users on the forum so it's crucial to inform all users by sk mail

but to make them interested, the competition must be simple and don't take much of time

this is a draft of the competition. Teosm, an excess of desire and goodwill, published without any of the things they were defined.

The competition will be quite easy! and will last up 9/10 weeks! :)

Of course, all australian users will be Notified by sk mail. :)

2. Don't see a problem there. How many managers have a team of Aussie NT prospects? Good to see the young Aussies getting trained.

I was thinking more longterm rather than Australians being trained. It encourages training 1 player over say 10. Long term the scenario is this, less trained, less income, slower development as a club in general, but if people are fine by this then that's ok I guess.

I won't be participating though at this stage :).

Zdrillic (19yo) DEF for me. Pace + Tech + Def = 28.
