The first time I managed to break $1m. Have done it once more since then.

I remembered to bump up the prices this year to $30 and $25, but dropped attendance, so will try a little bit less next time.

Income from top three matches in Division 2 this season
211 266 $AU
184 480 $AU
155 744 $AU
In the whole season there is 7 home games. Most of the games in the list above will exceed the entire season takings for Div 2.
This is why division 2 cannot and will not ever have another team that is able to be promoted and be competitive in the A-League.
DVS Strikers have totally dominated the last two seasons in div 2 with 24 wins and 2 draws 232 goals for and 3 against. A large part of the time this season playing not the strongest team available. But in the process have not been able to buy any decent players due to finances. Have sold a few. Have improved several through coaching but overall the team is not able to improve much through restricted finances.
The season financial position is in the negative by about $4M per season.
So what is the solution....
1. Sell all best players - making the team non competitive
2. Sack all the coaches - making the team unable to improve thus becoming noncompetitive (NOTE: sacking all coaches would not even solve the negative balance by even 1/3)
3. There is no 3...that is the only 2 solutions and both would be required to a degree to solve the problem.
The issue is, why bother? To make the team noncompetitive defeats the whole purpose of the game. If teams in Div 2 have no chance of being able to build a decent team to be able to get to the A-League then what is left...nothing.
I don't know if it is because of less teams in the divisions that the divisions under A League took the hit on income but whatever the reason it has killed the game.
The last two games of the season I play 2nd and 3rd in the div both at home. I fully expect that they will exceed the income from my top 3 this season but one I expect around 12K spectators and the other 20K. They will be the two highest attendances this season. I used to get over 20K in many league games.
I expect this will be my last season here after starting in 2006. I just do not see any future in it and it is no longer as enjoyable.

Hi,
If I were you I would start from zero. Selling the players which are not useful, have no talent, I would inspect the market as to buy trainable 16 to 18 yo players and try to produce something from the youth school. With some patience good things can come from this.
Cheers!

It would help, if after 9 years of playing the game, non default tactics were used too.
Agree there are tweaks that can make SK better. But you can make some changes too. eg: $25 is too much for a ticket. You don't have covered seating.
Dont have covered seating because cannot afford to pay for it. Cannot afford to pay for it because there is not enough income to do that. Cannot get decent trainees because cannot afford them. To have good training requires good coaches, once again money is everything in this game and it used to be sustainable even though not there was still a big gap. I used to have over 400K on a good game takings, maybe more. Now I am barely crossing the 100K mark for most games. There simply is no way to be able to build a competitive team anymore from below A-League. It was difficult before, now it is impossible.
The tactics are not default either and why would it matter if it was, that has no bearing on income unless you lose games because of it. As I mentioned 24 wins and 2 draws 232 goals for and 3 against. You would think the sponsors would be knocking the door down and people would be filling the stadium every week.
The sponsors paid into club`s account a total of 187 930 AU$.
Doesn't cover player wages or coach wages.

You do realise that you have to move the ball around to set tactics. If you just change the initial screen, then all you have done is make 3% approx of your tactic non default. There are 34 other ball positions you have to alter also.
Australia, as a small country, should be relatively easy to get to near the top. If you have a shockingly bad training regime, shockingly bad tactics, probably equally poor coaches then it is not remotely surprising you languish in the lower leagues with ratings of 45 having played the game 9 years! There are teams who have played about a year in a better position than what you have achieved to date.
