Asunto: Anyone still here?

This is why you will notice we have about 6 or so banned users in Aus. 5 of them have not logged in for years, and were bots, but when players were released (Such as Rayner, Morgan etc), the admins reactivate the user, log in, sell the player, then "ban" them to mark them for turning back to bot.

That explains it. I noticed a team the other day as ‘banned’ but when looking at transfer activity, nothing stood out.

Hey, there's a new user registered just yesterday. I see that he started his adventure here by rebuilding the stadium. Maybe anyone could get him here to join us? We'll help him to adapt and maybe make an active user out of him who will fall in love with the game?
I want to help expand the community by 'draging' every new registered person in here to push some life in the forum, even if I lose the elections.

Could be a returning player as we had somebody with that user name recently....they went inactive.
We usually reach out to newbies with an offer of assistance once we know they're out there.

Congrats to the Australian cricket team in reaching the finals of the T20 World Cup. As you might all know, you had the full support from India against Pakistan because Pakistani fans were behaving like Bangladeshi fans after winning their 1 WC game against India after losing 12 times previously. Anyway, Stoinis and especially Wade were brilliant and brave in their batting. Best of luck for the finals. On another occasion, I might've supported New Zealand but this time I'll support Australia because NZ defeated us in the World Test Championship final and you guys did us a favor by defeating Pakistan ;)

Speaking about cricket, let's open a thread either on this forum or in the Indian forum which relates to cricket if there are enough cricket fans here.

Bit of a surprise we're in the final from my end - I don't rate our T20 team as top 2 but the old "slap & tickle rounders" games tend to throw up more surprise results, I guess. :D

Yeah T20 is still seen as less important and "hit and giggle" in Australia and I definitely agree with this.
Despite the fact we were actually #1 in the world for quite a while just a couple of years ago, and would have been longer if Pakistan weren't right on our heels, and then we dropped to like 6th or something because we organised T20I at the same time as other tours we had going on, so sent a 2nd XI for multiple T20I tours.

T20 may end up being the way forward for cricket, but the real test is test cricket, and the greatest players will always be determined on their ability to perform in Test cricket

I think Australia has a really strong side with attacking batsmen and a great spinner in the form of Zampa. Apart from that, you have Starc, Cummins, Warner, Maxwell and you shouldn't really be complaining lol.

I just play Sokker(the only game I play), not really sure what that is.

I too feel Test cricket is the pinnacle but you have to agree that T20 is quite entertaining, eg: just both the semi finals, NZ and Australia making a comeback out of nowhere. Till the last 2 overs, I still felt Pakistan were favourites but the dropped catch and then the sixes just really changed it. Hussey had done the same thing against Pakistan in 2009 but hitting out Ajmal out of the park and this time it was Wade and Stoinis.

Btw, Warner shouldn't have walked, if he would've been around, Australia might've won in the 18th over itself or probably earlier.

I think Warner really felt he hit it. Cricket is a funny game.

Yeah the semis were very interesting, but at the same time, I didn't really "care" who won. I wanted Australia to win, but if they didn't, all good.

People also forget that Australia dropped a catch in the death overs as well, and the Pakistan player hit 2 sixes off the 3rd and 2nd last ball of the innings, so I think it was a nice bit of poetry that Pakistan did it too, and Wade hit those sixes.

Both England and Pakistan had it in the bag, then suddenly Mitchell and Wade found a new gear.

Really, the chances are the team batting 2nd will win the final. I'd like to say this is one of the problems with T20, but in tests not affected by stoppages (because good teams and captains sometimes have to risk a loss for a win with an attacking declaration, and not just for a win, but for entertainment), the team batting first wins most of the time.

This is the problem in UAE because of the dew where teams batting 2nd are winning. But in general, that's not the case.

FTP is From the Pavilion- online cricket game, not dissimilar to SK. One improvement for me is that you can train all players each week in desired skills….something SK keeps promising.

The final has started, NZ has made a decent total thanks to the 85 by Williamson (probably the greatest captain for NZ now). But since Australia is batting second with Warner still there with Mitch Marsh, I feel Australia has a good chance.

Good summary, although I thought Hazlewood's dropped catch might have swung it NZ's way at the time. In the end, it was under control a long way out. :)
