Was just trying to be honest, and self aware and letting you know so you knew the angle I was coming from. But that's ok, I'll see myself out

Actually I decided it's not worth it if things are going to be taken out of context. Also this conversation should be moved to freestyle Australia

And in other news, Tim Paine standing himself down after someone who got fired from the Tasmanian cricket board for theft, decided to try and make an issue out of it despite it being completely consensual at the time (only an issue after they were fired - which was more a threat to try and stop them from being fired/taking down the organisation with them).
Honestly the only person who was done wrong by was Paine's wife, and she already knew about it and forgave him. Such a non-story, but again, Cricket Australia proving it does not stand for any sort of act that could bring the game in to disrepute, but in doing so, making it a bigger issue than it actually is.
Hopefully they bring back Smithy as captain, but Cummins would do a great job too

If it's just a general overview, then it's completely fine to state your views, maybe I took it in the wrong way where I thought you were indirectly pointing to me for nothing. Coming to Indian fans, the number of trolls from India get amplified due to the huge population of India. There's another factor to it. Internet data. Internet data packs in India are incredibly cheap thanks to a billionaire owning the telecom company called Reliance Jio who slashed data prices to make his company more popular. Suddenly, many started buying that company's data packs and since the other competitors were losing thei market share, they too slashed data prices of their internet packs which meant a huge chunk of India suddenly got access to the internet. Now, as you know, when people get access to the internet and when they know everything's virtual, they start posting anything because they know nothing's going to happen to them since it isn't a real conversation. You are not alone, even I get frustrated with the stupidity, there are now 'Rohit' fans and 'Kohli' fans who mock each other(I'll admit many times it's just funny sarcasm). It doesn't help that Virat Kohli captains RCB and Rohit Sharma captains Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
On thinking a little, I understood why you stated what you stated.

They should've wrapped it up, unnecessary to bring that in public. Or maybe CA just wants to get rid of Tim Paine?
Hopefully they bring back Smithy as captain, but Cummins would do a great job too
Does Cummins have prior captaincy experience? Bowling in all 3 formats and captaining at the same time could be difficult. Instead of Smith, Australia could maybe look at Finch/Labuschagne as captain.

This whole "muck-raking left-wing attack of the snowflakes" needs to stop. It's getting out of hand here in the UK as well. We've all got skeletons in the closet - & how that's coming out to bite some on the arse over here. :D
At what point, & how far back, do we allow this to go.
What's next - me recalling how I sledged a kid at school & feeling I need to seek them out to grovel....or digging out someone who teased me when I was 8 years old....suddenly putting my hand up & stepping down from my job....sharing my private business with the world !!
FFS, it's a joke right now with the amount of attention seeking wankers trying to spotlight somebody just to get their 5 minutes of fame....not to mention feeling like they're suddenly empowered to rewrite history.....& therein lies the problem with so many in the world.....focused on the past & not what's needed going forward.
Here's a thought for so many social media hounds, & the like.....MYOFB & worry about what's in you're own backyard.
The movies we scoffed at 20-30 years ago about Big Brother watching, etc. & how "that'll never happen".....newsflash.....we're heading down that very rocky road if we don't sort it out.
Now back on topic......anyone still here??

Has anyone reduced their squad size since the new training update? I reduced mine from 22 to 17 players and that was largely because I was a pace trainer. With the new update, since we can train at max 10 players, I don't see the reason to keep those additional 11-12 players in the team when I know they won't be giving me huge returns when I sell them. But this strategy might change if I play in a more competitive league but unfortunately, the results in my league are pre-determined and as such, there's no incentive or motivation for me to adjust my squad size to account for injuries or to even make it more competitive.

Hard to give a definitive answer when your league is not as deep as the AL. You are nailed on for top 2 & could easily get by with a solid 9-10 first teamers & cover injury or cards against lower teams.
With our AL, it's far less the case as the competition runs much deeper. Whether we are striving for top 4 or 5-8 or best of bottom 4-5....those we compete against determines that we are likely to be the other end of the scale when compared to your top flight....in that we need at least 12-14 players to call on for first XI.
Maybe time you jumped ship & joined us?!! :D

I am unchanged, but I can see a good reason to be running a few players lighter if I was further down the ladder. My general observation would be that the new training setup means I could run maybe 2-3 players lighter than before, but the additional cost of injuries means I need those players, so my nett position is unchanged.

I still run with 20 ish. A lot of who I train wouldn’t survive the a league at this stage so I need extra depth. Also if you end up like agbell or Achmid they’ve had like 5-6 players out injured regularly this season. Just wouldn’t cope with a small squad. Question here though are the cost of wages of players you use as spares/depth cheaper than losing games and income/sponsorship. I think in the a league here that’s a yes almost always in our scenario.

(editado)
Yep, reckon you’re right. Results are king, and for the mid-lower teams there’s certainly a wage worth paying to have spares to keep you getting points.
I would have wanted to cut back, but not only was I pretty much a skeleton quad the past season or two, but I've had so many injuries I have had to play people either out of position, or people with like "good (7)" defender in the defensive line

Yeah, I guess that's the only difference. A competitive league might have made me buy more players. On the other hand, it means there's not too much strain on my finances but then I also get lesser money from sponsors as compared to teams in the A League.

Just have to wait for when they merge leagues for me to see more competitive games. If I leave India, then Indian NT will be greatly weakened. In 1-2 years, if there's no movement around from the DEVs for merged leagues, then I might just leave the game instead of having to start over again.

Yeah, just a different situation for me.
Question here though are the cost of wages of players you use as spares/depth cheaper than losing games and income/sponsorship.
Yeah, if you include the money that I get from tickets as well but exclude money from transfer, then my operational income is about ~15 - 20% more than the operational expenses. So it's net profit for me. I'm also in the process of upgrading my stadium so as to increase that profit even more and I can afford to invest in the stadium since I'm in no hurry to compete with the table topper.

I have been thinking with the injury situation that it might be worth having a couple of all-rounders in the mid 30s to fill gaps & have as bench players when it's a good with injury & cards..... just accept a slight loss on transfer costs over a few seasons. It's a case of less youngsters as before with old training method as I can spread training more into first team with less youngsters....so I guess with all of this in mind, it's a bit like agbell says....no real change to overall numbers.
I bid for a few players overnight. As usual, all but one were outbid by a single bid.
