Quali matches coming up. Anyone worried?
Looks like there are 6 player managed teams in the A-League Quali matches.
Given everyone knows the favorites for these matches, I will only write a small spiel on the challenger
CHILE_FC - Cruising Kings
Cruising Kings went 209-16 in the regular season and pushed perennial promotees Ginger Nuts to the last round. Rating 44.3 in their last match, they won't be a pushover
Stamford Rangers - Hackney Marshes
Hackneys have now been around for over 6months and really put a big gap between themselves and 3rd place. To finish off the season, they even knocked off the top of the table Philly
Melbourne Mongrels - mandy.green
mandy.green had to deal with the raging big mans for the season, which was a very tough task given big mans went 137-4 goal difference, and even managed a draw against them in the first round. With a 51-20 goal difference for the season (49-9 against other teams outside of the #1).
Good luck to everyone in the qualis. Let's see some upsets :)

Expected result v. what has become a BOT (last log in over a month ago). Good for supporter mood between seasons. :)
So it looks like there has been a huge influx of new users.
Not sure how real they are, but if any of the experienced guys wants to go through and send them messages just welcoming them to the community, encouraging them to say hi in the forum and offering help, that would be great.
I'd normally do it myself, but I've just been sent away from home for work for the next 10weeks, so makes it all a bit more difficult

Would be neat if just 10 stayed at least and became aktive users... In Denmark 20 something signed up within a month... No second login.... the convertation of New users to aktive users is like 1-4/100
It’s unfortunate they’re joining now and not 12 months or so ago. The new expectations system destroys new teams with fan moods and fan size growth.
That being said I’m also quite happy for us to have growth (so long as it’s legitimate growth obviously).
We need all the users we can get to be as active as possible to make all of our experiences more enjoyable.
I’ll just throw out a general welcome to anyone who has found the forums and that happy to help anyone who needs advice/suggestions etc.

A Little Update on numbers in Australia
24 teams have a login within May
- 22 of which have all their latest 5 logins within May.
- 20 of these are not brand new teams who signed up in May and only have all their logins within their first 24hrs
7 teams have a login still logged within their history, but dating back prior to May
The rest of the teams (14) are all basically bots with a name.
So it seems like we have 20 'active' teams within the community.

And just like that (about time really), they finally cleaned up all the teams that should have been bot, meaning our users stopped falsely showing as artificially high.
Down to 24 users which puts us in number 41 of biggest countries, and at approx a full div 1 with 5 users per league 2.
Many of the historically bigger nations (10-20 in size) are now at what Australia used to be.
Knowing we are technically the 41st biggest, which is kind of a mark we have been sitting at for a while (I think we moved up from the 60s a few years ago), it's a good goal to help us work out where our NTs should be sitting. Obviously a better number is number of youth schools open.

User number is one thing, another thing is luck and yet another is having an active community with everyone investing into youth school and caring for the youths (Which I think improved a lot in last seasons?)
For example Crna Gora has only 13 users and plays for 75, Bolivia has 12 users ands plays for 75, Hayastan with 20 users reaches over 78, Moldova with 21 users plays for 80 (!) which is incredible
Reaching 75+ rating is easily possible, but every team has to invest in youth school and every youth with potential has to be properly trained. Maybe it would be good to reach out to the less active teams, talk with them about opening a YS if they don't have it and then keeping tabs on their youths so they don't waste them.

That is definitely correct.
Bolivia, Hayastan and Moldova are all nations which have had a fairly quick drop in users, so it will be interesting to see if they can maintain those numbers over next half a dozen or so seasons.
I think I have sent skmail to all new teams every few months for the past couple of years, most obviously remain unread.
We have a couple of newish teams in ALeague this season which is great, and one of our 'active' teams who was in Aleague is struggling to get back due to competition in div 2 which is promising.
With the juniors ranked 31, and having been around this level for 6-8 seasons, the senior team should really see an increase in strength and position soon. Fingers crossed

True but a lot of these nations probably had more users than we did say 10 seasons ago and are probably still holding onto a number of better players from before the training and shorter seasons kicked in. I expect they’ll fall backwards from those marks very shortly if they’re not already which is where I think Australia will start gaining ground because we’ve suddenly got more than a few active teams again. You can see it with the u21s already so it’s a matter of time before it reflects on the seniors.
