Asunto: [U21] Defenders

Thought I would start up a few of these topics where I can discuss players within their positions.
Some benefits will be:
- Being able to discuss players skills who turn 22
- At the end of the season, give a spot to see how their trainees stack up to previous U21's to know whether it is worth training them for the Seniors
- Showing players on the TL who may fill this position in the future for U21
- Give a heads up for any players I may hear may be looking for a new owner
- Discuss players potentials (either user submitted or those I find)
- Put it all in one spot, so those looking to replace their trainees, can come and find youth players flagged in the past for this position

I expect it will be mainly a lot of myself talking, so will reserve a few posts for posting, but happy to take any questions.

I also realise any country could use these threads to "scout" our teams, but really if they want to go to that effort for a slight advantage, they can have it. It's not like we are in a position to be fighting for the number 1 spot in either of the world cups.

Currently on the TL. He is our #2 U18 defender at present, and #4/5 U19 defender. With some good training I can see him getting a fair few games in the future.
If he is decently talented (talent 4 weeks per pop), I could expect to see him get to approx. Outs/Outs in Def/Pace by the start of being 21.

Currently on TL. As you can see, very similar to the player posted above, except a year younger which is amazing. He is our #1 U17 def, and #4 U18 defender, although given he is younger, he will probably go higher than this.

He was only just sold by his Aussie coach a few weeks ago, and popped in both Pace and Def in that time, so you won't be getting those few cheap weeks at the start of pulling a player, but if he is talented, he will likely be playing games for the NT as a 20yo, and possibly even a 19yo.

Again if talented, he is certainly one that could be on track for U21 NT and Senior NT's

This guy probably won't be up for sale until next season, but just got the update from the owner, and he will be looking to sell before he gets to U21 level. Keep those coffers open, because although I sold him for a pittance, I think he may go for a fair bit in the future.

Also as he came from my YS, I know his talent (as best as I can) and it is crazy good. So much so that his talent via line of best fit, is better than what we know is the best talent possible.

He had 4 pops in 9 weeks for what it is worth.

Nice! He needs a good home!

Ok I'm back talking about this player. His manager is looking to take advantage of him random popping very recently, and popping again in defender, and wants to sell.

Fantum, this looks like a great player for you should the funds and place exist. Ideally getting defender or a mix of def/pace would be great for him, but should fantum need to pass, then naphtali may be interested as a pace trainee (I may even be able to pick up for a bit of defender in between, depending on how McPharlin goes with getting him SD pop in def).

So the seller is saying they want 3.2mill Aus (2mill euro).

He may or may not be worth that, depending on how much funds you have access too, but given he was only bought for 9.6k very recently, I'd be surprised if he fetched that much.

Personally I think watching the market when he is listed is better because you know, if someone buys a 17yo for that much, they will be training him as a defender anyway. If noone wants to train him, then you will likely get for a more reasonable price and then train up yourself.

He's got a bid for over 3M on him at the moment. Sale finishes tonight.

As much as I like him, that is a lot over price.
But if he can go for 100mill, that'd be great, would put 5mill in my coffers :D

Also the more someone is willing to spend, the more likely they will train appropriately

Could become quite a tidy defender if given pace and defender.
