Asunto: [U21] Defenders
I'm going to reword that.
He looks like a striker, and I think he is, but he is currently #3 striker behind Boyd and Greenwood, and 2 skill points behind them
At present he is equal best defender for his age.
I'm happy for him to be trained as either, as hopefully we will pull better defenders.

Okay, but if I continue training him as a striker, he will quickly lose the ability to make it as a DEF.
I still think he’s a striker. A defender is going to need passing and pm as well as defender whereas a striker really only needs striking and you can make a case for tech when you exclude skills they would both require. I do understand that if we’re short on defenders then there is a case to make him a defender though.
Let's stick with striker and see how he goes. Who knows what we will pull in the future
Roger that. I'll keep training him for now. Yet to determine his talent.

It's so annoying that even Australian players keep getting listed when Australians are not online.
People don't seem to realise that if an Australian is after them, they will likely get a bidding war and get more than the player is worth, but by listing in the middle of the night, they will get less money, and we get less players to train ourselves

Honestly, never thought of it that way. You're surely right in some way but, on the other hand, more people can be involved if the player's bidding ends when the most users are logged in. Also, maybe people are aware of what you say but still hesitate due to the fact that in the smallest communities managers talk to each other a lot and settle which one of them is going to develop the player in the best possib way. Therefore, all the others are going to remit and it leaves the player to just one user. To sum up, there's no bidding war between people with the same goal.
Although, I understand your frustration, would probably react the same if I were you.
@Cometer, waiting for your outfacing.

Ha no I don’t disagree with you here. That could well be the case. I think it’s more that hey think more potential people online so they sell it then which is something you mentioned.
That being said I share the pain with Achmid here that we never get a good run when it comes to transfers, even with Australian players as people really only care for getting the most amount of money possible. Also it’s convenient in Europe especially to list at reasonable hours of the night as opposed to say 3-6am.

Oh they definitely do it thinking the more people online, the better price I'll get, but the prices at best, will only go a little over market value.
When you are bidding against someone from the players own country, there is a lot more online, so the price can go well above market value.
It's rare two Aussies will bid against one another, but it's not like there isn't even any competition on good players.
Anyway its a point not worth discussing really, because people will list when they list, and if they miss out on money because of it, so be it. One of the many frustrations in sokker.

Haven't heard anything about it. I wouldn't count on any changes in transfers.
Australian managers value Australian players more. So why would you list a top Aussie when all the Australian managers are asleep?
