Auto bidding would kill the charm and ruin it for trade skills... I rely on buying low, i build a lot of success on youth market

I’ll agree to disagree on that. Auto bidding can work if implemented the right way….& there are those who’d argue the trading element.

It would help more people than it would hurt

If they limited the number of players you could auto bid on (to 1 or 2), than that would probably be the best balance

Also a cap on what you can place as auto-bid, based on something like player value/skills.

The question I have is “are they really trade skills or just taking advantage of a fortuitous time zone?”Expect it’s a combination of both.

I expect to buy high, sell low which sounds a really amazing strategy (insert sarcasm) because the alternative is problematic to do on a regular enough basis. It’s also why I put emphasis onto what I get from my own youth school because it’s the easiest method I have of accessing players (and that’s saying something).

What auto-bidder would do even without a limit would be to equalise the playing field. You could still get your bargain buys if others weren’t interested in players, just like now. If you disagree on this point I’d almost state that your entire premise of trading skills is entirely down to beneficial timezone. Where you lose is if others would be interested in paying for a player but can’t physically be available. That to me isn’t a skill (that’s just taking advantage of a weak spot like bidding on a player early in the hope the server crashes and you get the player cheaply - which wouldn’t happen anyway because they’d correct for it)

Now can we make the system better by imposing restrictions on how many one can make or how much one can auto bid? Probably , if you still want a primary must be online to get aspect.

No its cause like borkos Said lots of saturday noon and Even morning fresh juniors and other still very young, cause many list as soon as they can when they see the training or pull the junior.... saturday and having marks on 40 players and alarm on 10 of Them, monitering when to buy low and then short term training was the foundation to fund My 83,5 mark team/earlier 10 out of 11 danish nt starters and full danish bench making 77 mark.... I was running in money when I was really aktive.... My first break and sell of entire team gave me 110 m eu in 2014... that was high on highest treasuries back then...

Now a Day theres just only 25 players to monitor saturday

That's fine for a junior buy/sell to make money that way, but the more people that do it, the less profitable it becomes
Also those juniors once trained a bit and sold, don't get listed at a time we can access, same with anyone older. This means for us to do anything like that, we have to live off a 19yo team which isn't feasible

We also have a very strong NT community for the number of users we actually have (not this inflated number that came out of nowhere, and will half soon), meaning the youths people have are being NT trained, so people here are looking to buy anywhere from 22+ yos (depening on how focused they are on trying to win a title). We just can't access them

I had two nights recently where I stayed up way too late doing absolute rubbish, and I couldn't believe how many options I had to buy players., and I even got to see the ebb and flow of prices for the same set of skills. We never get to see that. This is how I managed to buy in a few players to give my team a little more depth to cover injuries.

It's just a different experience being in our time zone. The most common thing for me buying players is putting on what I think is a high bid on multiple players, only to wake up and discover I lost every auction by one bid. Often I scroll through and just ignore anyone listed between 17:00-23:00, 'cos I know I can't buy them without bidding over value.

You might have a different experience of the trading element if 90% of the players you targeted were sold between 3-5am.

I don't think anything particularly needs to change. Personally, I like the simplicity of it. The bulk of managers live in Europe and the market reflects that. We're in a minority, so that's just how it is.

No No I admit older players Then 22 yo is always sold during the night for you Guys.... but the money to be able to buy top players is made on training young players which increase faster in value then 22+ yo trainees.... and those you Guys at least have fair access to is all im saying

And trade margins on bargains will be less with autobid, that is common sense

Whilst I'm certainly not rich, I do have a fair amount of funds that I just can't spend.

I guess the argument could be made you could make more money and then buy well above market price, but that is not really a good long term way of playing. You want to be buying somewhere around market, even if it's just a little more.

I think if people sold at a different time, they would be surprised how much they would make for top quality players. Suddenly you bring in bidders who have money and noone to spend it on, so they go a lot harder in bidding wars. But people prefer to sell when there is a lot more supply then complain about it later

I tried lots of Odd times myself.... but nothing beat prices on old competitive top players saturday and sunday evening Europe time... stats were made of similar sales all through the week, landslide win.... the demand is higher then the supply... I think especially cause we need 14-20 team rooster, but only training 10, more competitive matches now and luckily not all farm train to only make money

So if it’s a skill and not time zone related why do those at say 11-14 sell cheaper then those sold later for example? There is randomness sure but there are clear reasons why certain slots give better selling prices.

You then followed up with an auto bidder would reduce profit margins. If that was the case for all players then that to me means only one thing, it’s again due to the time players are listed and market accessibility. People were interested but weren’t available when the transfer ended for whatever reason.

Your skill comes from observing the fact some are cheaper and exploiting an opportunity because you have accessibility to those and others either can’t or don’t want to due to other life choices.

An auto bidder would attract more interest only from those who couldn’t access the time the player sold at, otherwise there would be no difference.

Anyway, I’m not sold on an auto bidder but do see how that would level the field a bit. I’d much prefer being able to choose which time to list a player though to get rewarded for training efforts.

You can spend every dime if you make New good Cash on many young players besides having 70-75 team....I never had money long on my account unless break... I had great success just with money from proving talent maybe train Till 21-22 on sometimes players that would never make it good enough for first team .... but when Selling there is profit left for 1st team reinforcements.... training your biggest stars though Till they turn 28, and consider quantity of good players over quality of 15 m + eu worth players cause its a pure drain of finances playing old players for success... thats one way of having a cycle that contains all elements of game, and can easily produce a steady 70-75 mark.... I played for round the 70 mark at bottom (lower when winning big substitions) and most other times Even 75-80 mark reachable, especially if spending the ressources on older then 30 yo but tooop world Class players...

I played this Guy in My defence for 2 seasons once
