Asunto: [U21] Midfielders
I guess he won't make it as a wing, possibly best way to go would be improving his def as much as possible, perhaps with +1 in pace...
Think if he got a few pace/tech pops and a def he’d be in line for the odd selection as we aren’t swimming in midfielders atm (we have a lot coming through though).
seems to old for me to give him pace&tech at this point, I'd focus on def + a bit pace so he is useful in centre...
haven't trained players older than 22yo for a long time though so maybe I'm wrong, but what level he could reach in pace/tech? double magical? or less

I’d say somewhere between double brilliant and double magical. Double magical a bit of a stretch perhaps but it depends how long you continue to train them up.
Do you have the old skill of what Willis got up to? Would be interesting to see given he was a past legend
brilliant+magical doesn't sound useful for a winger, not sure about how other possible wingers of his age look like
as a central playmaker he'd look decent I think
@achmid
I have his skills from the moment I sold him, no idea if he improved further, possibly not
Andy Willis, age: 28
formidable stamina, hopeless goalkeeper
unearthly pace, adequate defender
magical technique, magical playmaker
unearthly passing, excellent striker

Damn I must say, given the era he was playing, I was expecting worse.
I suspect he would still make the NT even these days with those skills.
I'm not sure if he was our best ever (agbell and naphtali may have more of an idea as they trained many previous NT MIDs), but he was certainly a king in the cohort he was around

Very nice player! Hard to go back in time and recall if I've produced one better. Is there an easy way to check? Does one of the add-on tool capture a snapshot of a player pre-transfer or similar?
Yeah, I think he still holds the record for most assists in NT games with 104
I never really believe that there's something other than skills [like hidden skills] but damn, he was a good winger to have:)
@agbell
Afraid not, I'm usually looking through old threads from transfer forums...

Yeah pretty much what borkos said.
Although individually, you will have a fair idea who your best trainees were and then can check transfer forums, as if they are Aussie and are that good, there is every chance you let the community know.
I'm almost 100% certain Traj is the number 1 striker we have ever had, despite the short seasons.
We have had multiple 2x divine/SD GK, so really only passing would differentiate the absolute best. Could probably name a dozen that could likely take the title.
Defender wise, a bit harder to know from my perspective. Again, multiple 2x divine/SD. And a good couple of handfuls over time with decent secondaries too

Whether or not Willis was the best we have had, I'd say those skills wouldn't be the best for long knowing what has come through and what is yet to come.
One thing I can say on Willis, he was well ahead of his time

Was just looking through this thread as it is interesting to see where some players start to see how they could end.
One of my own players. Was this
Wayne Pondeljak, age: 17, height: 179 cm
value: 42 400 AU$, wage: 960 AU$
good form, average tactical discipline
average stamina, hopeless keeper
poor pace, hopeless defender
poor technique, adequate playmaker
average passing, hopeless striker
Now he is approximately 4xMagical
Shows what age and talent can do for a player
