I also like your idea. Dont know if devs where talking about fusing "little" countries but is a pretty nice idea, more challenge for sure, and probably better incomes.

But we need to keep current countries for NTs and Youthteams.

But wich 8 teams will join the top division if they fuse and the rest? Will be ranking points accurate, maybe not...

The countries should definitely stay connected to the user (and any user coming in), but instead of it being the Australian A-League, we end up having Asia and Oceania A-League.

Then the teams may have say 3 teams from viet nam, 2 from Australia, 2 from NZ etc.

Whenever these teams pull youths etc, they pull for their country, NOT Asia and Oceania.

Sam with the Aus cup, only Aus teams play in the cup, its not an Asia and Oceania cup.

So really, the only change is the league structure, nothing else. Allows people to actually play other human teams, and with google translate, its still pretty easy to communicate with people in other languages

One question:

Europe = 19 countries = 215 users ???


in Spain only, we have 263 active users. I don't quite understand your proposal for Europe.

The 19 countries I'm talking about are 19 countries with less than 30 users in them.

So there would be no change to Spain's league structure as they have enough to have active players and forums etc. but you would be bringing together the 19 european countries that don't have this luxury

Scotland, Moldova, Israel, Latvija, Malta, Sakartvelo, Crna Gora, Slovensko, Ireland, Shiqiperia, Krypros, Slovenija, Kasakstan, Belarus, Island, Srbija, Andorra, Leituva, Cymru

As another idea, I had even got in to building a massive draw which would bring all nations together, but you would still start out surrounded by your own country (and you wouldn't meet other countries until you were one of the best in your own country), but it take a lot of working out, and a lot of changes and considerations within the game.

I think ultimately it could work, and I had a fairly good draft draw, but small, easy to implement changes first, and we can get to talking about a bigger picture in the future.

Just to get a brief idea what I'm saying, Poland would take up like 1/3 of the draw (due to numbers) so wouldn't meet another country until they were in the top level of leagues, or 2nd top level of leagues, but someone like Aus, may start meeting other countries at the 5th or 6th level of leagues etc.

Anyway, although the idea would be amazing to implement, it would be a lot of work, and a lot of logistics, so maybe lets just start with what I mentioned before and see if that can be done first :)

Not sure if you know the answer to this yet, but what is the likely league restructure for Australia?

I assume we will be saying goodbye to div 3, but, will that be all?
Or will div 2 be reduced to just two leagues, merging the human players? Or will we be merged with another country like NZ?

I could actually work this out pretty easily from the details I have in excel.

But going on what I've already mentioned
AFC+Nz (who is on oceania but is the oceania team in sokker) = 247 teams
Africa = 57
Nth/Central america (CONCACAF) = 257 teams

And then the two big ones which I'd have to go to my excel sheet for exact numbers (which I can't do right now)

South america (CONMEBOL) = approx 1500
Europe = approx 7000 teams

Interesting. Unsurprisingly Europe would dominate in terms of numbers. There has to be a good way of making this a global game while still have national identity, and it’s not as easy as having a global league as that will reduce intra-league socialisation with language barriers.

Yeah it can be difficult in that sense, although many countries do speak English as a first or second language.

They could combine nations based on language used within the game, which would also be acceptable, but I haven't worked out the numbers to see how this would work, as it may be the case that a lot of the smaller countries, are also the only ones who use that language.

Just as a bit of fun, and to show just how much we need something like this, I worked out What countries would make it in to the A-League and Div 2 if all of AFC/NZ were joined together (based on ranking/rating points)

In A-League
Agbell, 2x china, Philapines, Malaysia, 3x Viet Name

In Div 2.
No aussies, 12x Indonesia, 7x viet nam, 4x china, Philapines, Malaysia, Singapore, India, NZ, Daehan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Al-Jaza

In Div 3.
Achmid (our #2 in Aus only makes div 3). And a bunch of others that I didn't go on to work out.


This is why we need to combine, because the gap is just too big, which affects both the higher ranked and the lower ranked financially, and affects them as far as having fun, competition etc.

(above I didn't check the highest rankings were actually owned by human players as I suspect the easiest way to combine will just be to put all the teams in to an excel spreadsheet, and top 8 are div 1, next 32 are div 2 etc.)

Well, on the restructuring of the leagues, we are working on several and different proposals (including yours). We will inform you as we learn something ;)
