There were a few coaches on TM, in their 50’s this week ….@ incred/brill or better, with 4 or more skills =>magical.
Slim pickings if wanting coaches in their 40s.

Wow nice. I don't even know what I spent to get an unearthly and still didn't (I know one night looking I spent 20M aud)
Yeah the unearthly coaches have been rising in value over the seasons. When I spent 14M euro, it cost about that on the TM to buy one if they came up (but they would also be there at 4am my time). A year before this, it was about 10M euro.
Now up to 25M euro.
It makes sense to go with the luck of the draw in my opinion, because many get it for less than this, and you get to upgrade your magical coaches too.
I'm pretty happy without an unearthly coach at this stage as it doesn't make a big difference (3-4%), especially as many of the best potential trainees now are young players who often didn't spend a long time in the youth school

Careful with those figures if you’re pulling them off sokker. Sokkers numbers aren’t reflective of the difference, it’s just another meaningless figure like predicted youth school talent/exit. It’s a straight skill/max skill possible. In other words meaningless.
In any case though you’re still right in that the difference between magical and unearthly is small. Probably only really worth having unearthly for head coach or junior coach. Assistants have even less an effect so could get away with brilliants/magicals.

if you guys are looking for an unearthly main/assistant then I sacked mine
keep in mind that he will retire after NEXT season, so you can basically get him just for next season and remainder of current one, makes sense only if he goes for a low price

I can't believe clubs can afford such high coaches. His wage is almost as much as my entire coaching staff!
Is he a youth coach or you juggle him and another when training tech?
I'd like my 76yo head coach to stay on. I like his wage and skillset.
Might be a good time to upgrade my youth coach and pick up an old brill+ for a season. Either way, I'll be recruiting come the end of next season.
I still think you should be able to convert club legends into coaches and send them off to training courses to improve their skills.

My head coach has a wage about the same as that, actually a little more than that. We can afford them here. I’m not sure I could afford 5 of them though but could get away with 2 of them pretty comfortably.
No chance if you’re in div2 though.

He was my youth coach, now I got a younger one.
I also have a 6x 16 on main coach and 3x 14 assistants.
my main as 121 years though, so it will be his last season. then I will probably move one of assistant as the main coach [5x 16, 2 in goalkeeper]

That's why I haven't upgraded yet. Would not be sustainable if I demoted and I think there's diminishing returns for coaches over about incredible for youth and formidable for assistants.

I wouldn’t bother for assistants. I’d probably go upto brilliant for those. For main coach and juniors I’d be prepared for unearthly. Don’t have unearthly for junior coach yet but might if my youth coach retires after next season. Also great way to get my cash down so I don’t have the unrealistic expectations.

Kind of depends if you're lucky with what you get in YS. I have an unearthly and he's a waste of money with the "talent" that I get. Currently I have 15 of them and honestly it's hard too look at them, I should sack half of them at least.
On the other hand if you get that lucky one or two then coach can be the difference between very good and great money that you will get
for assistants yeah, 14 is max I would go, 12-13 is fine if someone has a tight budget
for youth I'd go for 14-15, 16 is a bit of overkill unless you don't know what to do with money

Just a reminder don’t sack your coaches if they plan to retire. You still get a season to use them. Also in this case given it’s a new feature could be issues so another reason to hold them for now just in case.
Looks like I lose my head coach, youth coach, & one assistant. :(
3 months or so to find replacements.

It looks like all coaches that could retire have retired, which is obviously not how the devs planned this publicly.
I wouldn't stress too much just yet in case they decide to 'reroll' it how it was meant to be

It’s just a screw up because they don’t know a) how to code and b) don’t how to test.
They’re lucky they have sokker because they wouldn’t get development roles anywhere with any standards.
It’s why I made my statement telling people not to sack their coaches because I expect it will be reversed and re-executed when they fix it.
Edit: Looks like it’s not all eligible coaches but all eligible coaches where teams have failed to meet expectations, something like that.
Expect they won’t revert and just say whoops we will fix it so next season it doesn’t happen as that forces most teams to blow money on the recruit feature. Hopefully I’m wrong here and they reroll the formula with it working properly.
How they can’t test a relative simple conditional/probabilistic function to identify this issue is pretty poor though. Bugs happen but basic calculations that are easily testable for all forms of cases is a pretty low bar. Screams of incompetency.
