Injuries have been reduced both in chance of injury and length of injury. However, not sure it’s by enough to make up for more games per week.

Agree, seven on the bench is handy and a step in the right direction. Bringing in 5 subs (hopefully) will be a game changer for managing your training regimen.
Also, not enough managers seem to be using conditional orders so perhaps these changes also bring more of that element into the game.
2023-07-04 00:54:23
They are trying to implement the 5 subs at the moment. Didnt work today, but it should be a matter of days.

As I thought I probably should have held off with comment, given how it's been communicated in the past.....5 subs is what we'd hope for if increasing bench capacity.
As for the injury element, my recent history would suggest it might do with further tweaking....or I get rid of the soft squad members. :)

So it now confirmed that merging countries is going to happen now but there’s a few things needed to be done before that. No idea yet how it will be implemented but it’s still behind things like junior school revamp, trying to make people try to win rather than farm etc. So consider it official but it may not be for another year or so yet ;). Hopefully they do this the right way and not the sloppy but easy way.

Worth posting this in the "International manager chat" in sokker Australia too
2023-09-15 17:03:47
So you all should have it in your press room but looks like sokker devs want more money without improving their own service.

Plus is going up in price and to justify the increase and to add an incentive to continue paying for it, features we’ve had are being moved to being behind a paywall. Some not a big deal such as player kits for matches reverting to default after plus expires, but the big one is they’re going to push the ability of managers to see nt players skills if the users allow it with the tick box behind a paywall as you’ll now require plus. Utter garbage. Sort your own poor management and user satisfaction out and you’ll be surprised who would be willing to pay for plus
2023-09-15 17:13:49
Exactly. I hope we have misunderstood it, but it will make non plus NT managers have a much harder time to manage NTs.

They have basically taken the 'NTs are the reason many people stay in the game' and thought, hmm, how can we monetise this, I know, let's force NT managers to buy plus so they can see the skills of the nation they are managing or else go back to how it used to be.

They are basically trying to guarantee themselves 200 plus users income not realising that hurting those who keep the game interesting for their community will actually result in even small numbers on sokker and therefore smaller numbers of plus users

BTW for everyone's information, for as long as sokker brings in 'improvements' that hurt small nations, I will not be supporting with plus membership myself. If that means I have to go back to finding out skills the hard way, than so be it. I'm not going to pay money to manage the NT of a dying game when I already put in many hours to keep it interesting for both myself and those managers I actually care for (ie the Australian user base and international users that have shown commitment to Australian NT themselves)

Ditto.

I’m not even sure it was built off that reasoning. I think it was simply if we increase price to x to improve our revenue and do nothing different we are going to lose subscribers (like in any scenario of price increases). They’ve then looked for things that are popular that in their mind isn’t a direct in game advantage and that’s how they’re arrived at the nt player skills (impacts few people, skills can still be obtained the old way, easy low hanging fruit to make that change. Boosts the perceived value of the price increase whilst costing them nothing to make that change.

So for those enjoying the new year a bit too much or not paying attention, the devs have seemingly stealth dropped a new taxation system for player transfers. (Don't worry most of us didn't even know it was a thing because it hasn't been announced but it is a thing)

Previously every transfer you made (sale), 10% would be taxed from whatever the final price was and that is how much you would receive.

That is no longer the case.

For juniors of your own team that have not yet been transferred previously that is now 8% but for any other player you sell it is now dependent on how long they have been in your club (well it appears to correlate to that anyway). Less than 4-5 weeks seems to be 25% (up from 10%) and then it drops by 1% or so every fortnight from there before it gets back to 10% at roughly 36 weeks. Might drop further to 8% with more time too.

Again none of this has been confirmed by devs or even mentioned about but it definitely appears to have been introduced from the beginning of this calendar year so it's relatively new.

Good change to the game, just a shame they didn't communicate it first

Continuing to steal concepts from Hattrick.

Decent idea, but it's going to hurt teams who yoyo. If you bring in 3-5 players when you promote, then need to offload them to reduce costs after demoting, that'll hurt a bit.

Yeah though I’m not sure buying a few players for a season then offloading them because you’ve dropped a division is a great strategy anyway. I think you but players to boost your team that will make it possible to survive in the next division and if that fails you keep them to secure your promotion back the following season. Otherwise your better option is still to train juniors up and save your cash.

Yeah it may hurt a little, but you will still probably end up ahead relative to the day traders. They will still day trade as there is still lots of money to be made, but they will get a little less, which means their rate of getting ahead of you will reduce.

It will also benefit those who train local youths from their club which is a good thing

There is a massive gulf between div 2 and A-League, in both quality and finances. Moreso than when you were last in div 2. 125k/wk sponsorship doesn't go far. If you demote, you need to sell off anyone taking a significant wage, unless they're being trained. You can re-promote with trainees alone and any other players dramatically lose their market value.

Buying players after promoting is a good strategy, with the goal of scraping into 9th. Not talking 15M strikers here, just picking up value buys to fill gaps in your starting XI. Doing so gives you a massive opportunity to take the next step.

This will hurt yoyo teams a bit as they demote, but overall it seems like a reasonable idea.

Instead of extra tax, it would be good to see the extra money get distributed between the player's previous clubs as trail fees, proportionally to the number of training weeks each club gave the player.
