Hope they're not sacrificing training, as looks like they fielded a strong team on Sunday.....not entire same XI though. :)

It was the same playing 11 that gulzzy fielded in his league game. Either he forgot to change his squad or just wanted to prove a point :)

The keeper gave very low average mark in the league game. It happens sometimes when the keeper doesn't have much work to do.

We have a big game in final round to decide our league (div II.01) as I am currently 3 points clear of PJ & have a GD of 10, so I need to keep that margin.

Most likely I'll have spent a good chunk of my bank before that game as makes sense to buy in coming weeks, rather than final week or start of next season, when TM tends to surge with inflated prices. ;D

You both still have similar number of goals so your forwards have done a reasonable job.

PJ's team is really strong. All he needs is to play his defenders closer together, bring them a bit ahead and maybe even play his forwards closer together. Gonzalez Diaz(maybe best fwd of this friendly league, although with just 1 game) is a really dangerous forward and 1 of his goal was him going past my best defender from the front (couldn't even take the ball with a tackle from front). Puzio is the best mid and others are not too less either. But I don't see him topping the group even if he beats you as that's a huge gap in GD.

Maybe they played both as slightly injured? Match comments say they may have been previously injured. :)

I did have same thing happen last season in a game where I lost my GK, then had sub GK injured later in the game....so then had an outfield player in goal at the end. :o

I could have gone for Plesa but his skills are a bit low. A better pace skill like even adequate/good would have made me go for him. Anyway, my defending slots are almost full.

Not sure Plesa or Coveny will sell, so will be fired if not. :D

Over to Pune FC to see if they can win by 4 goals in their friendly to take top spot :). 3 goal win makes the calculator come out.

Not quite sure what to say, should have won that easy on dominance alone but ended up stealing it with the last kick in the game from a 90th min long pass from deep in my defense to Krushkov who then executed a hail mary pass to Marth who struck the back of the net from range. You couldn't make that stuff up (actually some might say that's believable with the luck I tend to get). Absolute ripper strike from Marth just when I'd conceded RNG had done me in (which perhaps would have been deserving after last round).

Marth can't hit the net with an open net for the U21 NT but can from a totally unfavourable position. I'm confused.

To make matters worse, my subs didn't come on at 46min. I thought 46th min was an automatic stoppage and hence a guaranteed sub. Instead they came on at 56min. Have checked and I didn't make a typo (checked next match orders for Sunday and it was the lineup and orders from todays friendly). Just seems it didn't count the 46th min as an automatic stoppage. If I'm wrong then I'll have to change that up to 45th in future but I don't think I've ever had that happen in all the years I've played :)

Overall, much improved performance from Portland Juniors and had to check to see if it was their 1st XI or not and doesn't appear to have been.
