You've have the right to be cocky true... I'm not considering myself in the running with a tricky game against Agbell or Uber but I do remember those times where the Comets lost their mojo in their qualifying games while being the huge favourite.
MM has every right to pretend to the AP, I'd be watching him if I were you :p
It won't be points, it will be goals...

Obviously, but I've got the exact same goal differential as MM currently after last week. I have 3 bots/new side to play where as MM has 2. MM also has Larikans still to play and it's unlikely they'll beat them by 10+. MM would need a minimum +5 goal difference on me come the final round to have a realistic chance as I'll put 15 away at a bare minimum, more probably 17+.

Time will tell though.

It is just that in normal time whatever you predict, the Opposite happen usually.. Like a qualification for the wc for example :p
So along that line of thinking I'll stick with MM :)

On a positive note, it looks like the new teams are now starting in III again.
The last 3 new teams have been at least.

Good news! Too bad the damage is done.

That seems to have ended. New team entered into II.03 yesterday 5-2-11. :(.

Into II? So few that plays?

Sokker is a strange game. It is actually one of the best tactically and more, but finds it hard to compete with so many other games that are not as good.

Problem is text based are often easier to disguise poor plays. Visual match engines tend to all have difficulties making the game look anything but stupid and require a lot of commitment to iron out those issues. In saying that, the major problems here would be the lack of a development team to take it to that next level like the other games have. At the same time, users have probably not helped as word of mouth they bag the game and as a result people are less likely to try it.

Unfortunately I was away but can see (or believe I can) why people thought it was fixed.

Teams were not entering div III because things were fixed, but because there were no bot teams in div II

Not exactly true. Many of the sides already in II that are new have been bot again for some time.

There are currently no bot teams in Div II. because of this, new teams will be placed in Div III.

To new team to enter Div II only happened because ZapM... didn't log in for 50 days, therefore become bot, so when the new user applied, the highest placed bot happened to be in Div II.

So although beforehand, it looked like it had been fixed, and new users were being put in Div III, it was only because there were no bots in Div II, so the "best" Div III bots had to be replaced
2011-02-07 08:42:46
True you are correct. I thought I had a couple in my league but obviously they hadn't reached 50 days yet.
2011-02-07 11:28:24
It's been logged on the test server for a long time so I trust this has been fixed.
I'll double check for peace of mind...

Well our latest new user got put into a div II team 2 days ago.

Im not really sure how the test server communicates with this one, but it doesn't appear as if it is in full use just yet

So how long b4 this newbie drops out after getting hammered? Killing the game in Oz by dropping them into div II.
Is it worth mailing each newbie to say stick with it...take the pain until end of season...then build when in div III? Pretty sure if someone starts against the likes of Cometer, they'll be gone in no time after a 30+ goal hammering.
