They just didn’t think to change the weight for fans gained/lost per week to realign with the new weighted fan expectation based on finishing positions. Now they won’t gain fans no matter how well they perform (since the weighting point used previously is now the top end under the current system (good luck getting to delighted even). It’s just short sighted testing by a bunch of amateur devs who have no idea what they’re doing. You can’t isolate off a piece of work from all its dependant functions and change one and expect the rest to behave as normal. You have to fix everything that’s interconnected together but they didn’t. For the same reason they didn’t adjust for the inflation caused by extra matches a week when they introduced that (they made adjustments later on but not initially). Also how they updated some pages and not other and so we lost links to certain places for a while unless we knew the old link etc.
Well eventually i will start lose some supporters yes. But so far in all the seasons with new expectations system i stayed status quo by lowering expectations by never having funds on account

The 4th best team in our country, he sold all players start of this season and said goodbye. So will probably happen very soon.
I won 7 titles and 6 cups in last 12 season, first time i was in top 3 expectations in league though was this season as number 2.
Yeah I love this system

Think I’m converting your fans. I amazingly went up 10 today. Only 78% fan mood overall (delighted). Not sure what else they expect to be MIL when I’ve only lost 1 cup match and an unbeaten in the league to date. Still behind where I was when they introduced this system.
Nowhere near the best team in Sokker, yet can't grow because of the riduculous coding to link everything to others in the league (I'm in top league of the country)

You need others to be growing in fan size which isn't happening and definitely not happening quickly enough for yourself. I suspect agbell is worse then what you are going through as they won't be 100% across the board.
I happened to drop a lot of satisfaction this week (8% from the friendly loss and then 27% ish from the league match yesterday). Mood dropped a long way down but I still somehow gained a few fans.
The formula tied to fans was ok but had several noticeable flaws (e.g low user countries with bots). That used to be the worst of it, was still frustratingly unfair but it's so much worse now.
Now you've still got the bot issue but it's now magnified as 3 automatically relegate from the A League each season and 12 team leagues results in more bots in div 2 dragging them down. So whoever goes down loses a truckload, comes back in a worse spot and we all suffer for it.
Additionally pinning meeting expectations as 50% mood or there abouts under the new expectations just crushes it even further as it guarantees leagues on average drop fans because that fan gain percentage was built and balanced (poorly) around teams being able to be madly in love for the most part. So either they needed meeting expectations to be equivalent of madly in love or they needed to adjust the fans calculation each week to account for the fact that on average mood will be around 50% which results in lost fans.
That then blows teams that are achieving well out because well everyone else is losing fans so that brings them down as well.
The problem is the inverse of the original problem. Original problem is sides with lots of competitive users results in an increasingly expanded fan base. Problem now is it's now increasingly deflating to a new base number which who knows where the new mid point will end up. Could be a continuous runaway decrease every week/season. We'd almost be better off match fixing the league in such a way that Achmid wins by default and everyone else slots into where they're expected to be in order to grow fan base. My guess is they didn't have a clue that this would impact anything and if they did saw it as an opportunity to strip even more money out of the game. It is happening at all levels but there will be slower decay for those unaffected by bots.
Edit: What we really should do is work out on a season by season basis how much fans the league is actually losing and see if the decrease is flattening out or still accelerating. Doesn't help when you don't have full information mind you, so Brisbane City being banned ain't going to help.

I don't think there's much we can do. There would be no point fixing the league. Achmid has shown that meeting expectations does not guarantee fans and that fan club member numbers are shaped to the middle.
The only way to improve the situation with the current algorithm is to grow the number of active clubs, to reduce the number of bots bringing everyone down.
I don't think it's growing and recently there have been more banned clubs than new clubs. I'm not that interested in promoting it to bring in new managers.
C'est la vie.

Merged leagues is a solution.
Fixing the fans gained/lost formula is the better option.
Achmid would be gaining fans if the league average of fans was significantly higher. It’s why those in bigger nations have 3k or so. We could get better when enough of us get higher fans, especially the newer clubs. If we can get say 10 of us to stabilise our fan bases and grow forward, eventually Achmid woild start gaining again. Atm Achmid and Agbell probably too are being dragged back to the mid point of the league. Those at the bottom are being dragged forwards but will get relegated and lose them all next season.

I know you are only talking in how the game works, but I don't think anyone should think that any sort of fixing will actually happen. Rather its just how the game has been developed that they would encourage that sort of behaviour.
Yeah unfortunately the only way for it to be fixed is by the developers actually admitting they were wrong and redesigning what the numbers are based on
But a merged league, much larger fanclub members in bot teams and smaller leagues would all go a long way to helping reduce the impact of the problem

Yeah but it’s been blown apart by 12 team leagues with 3 auto demotion/promotions (new change), fan expectations based around meeting a league position requirement that pegs teams towards satisfied/believe in club rather than madly in love (new change) and as a consequence of leaving the rest alone has resulted in basically breaking the system.
The original system was designed around a metric that expectations were based around results by fan difference and then applied against the fan base against the league fan base plus a random number to determine fans gained/lost and sponsorship etc. That design was fine but was flawed for those with bots (eg smaller nations), however with 8 team leagues and only 1 relegation guaranteed you could minimise that and continue to grow albeit at a handicap rate.
Now you can’t because they change one thing without rebalancing everything else and don’t seem to care. So now instead of just small nations being impacted it’s now every league in the game being impacted but smaller nations being impacted by more and a higher rate.
There are really only a handful of solutions to help the problem which they likely will never do but are badly needed because they messed around with parts of code without caring about the other parts. It’s no longer balanced and is in fact unbalanced now

Yep. Nothing will happen, this is how it is. I’m only still playing out of stubbornness.
Yeah it's the people that keep me here, not the game as such.
It would be nice if it were both
