Asunto: Training Reform

I have following coaches that I switch depending on training -
Outstanding - Stam 15 / Pace 16/ Tech 15 / Def 16....for Stam, Pace, Def training
Excellent - Pace 15 / Tech 16 / Striker 16....for Tech, Striker training
Also -
Brilliant Youth Coach with PM 16 & most other skills 14+ if needing to pinch for training PM....for the time being.
My training now for what I see as my future first teamers is -
3 DEF (23yo Groom, 18yo Agius…& maybe 19yo Tong)
3 ATT (21yo Zillman, 20yo McColl, 20yo Oliviera)
That’s 6 youngish Oz players….plus 3 of my senior Oz DEF aged 25-26yo.
Training just the 1 international, but only whilst I wait for next Oz player.

I would think that this would be for anyone with an interest training Australian players. Since you’re often training our players and around our forums then sure you can be included. Really what we want to do is keep tabs on if there are any gaps in the system that we need to be mindful of. Eg if we have like only 1-2 defender trainers for example. We could probably break this down further by u21 and o21 because for example i do train strikers but all of mine are now o21.
Question for anyone.... I vaguely recall (or possibly dreamed) that when the training reform was rolled out there was an issue with pace training, or pace training was negatively effected. Am I recalling correctly, and if so, what was the deal and is it fixed?
Definitely recall question marks over pace training as well.....would be good to get some clarity as I have been dipping in/out of training pace.
The only thing I remember about if being negatively affected was that the speed of pace training wasn't being changed (always has been a little slower to train), but the number of players you could train was being reduced from 22 to 10.
Therefore, the overall amount of pace your team was receiving on a training day was greatly reduced. No difference to the individual player receiving it, just a lot less players receiving it.

There were 2 things
1) could only train 10 instead of 22/33.
2) the slowed down training effectiveness for training in general led to pace being noticeably slower. So under old system it was noticeably quicker. Was t unusual for higher levels to take 10+ weeks where as before it was 5-6 etc.
They modified point 2 after user complaints so it should be pretty similar to the old progression. It’s still slightly slower in the higher levels but we now get additional general training as a result.
In effect nothing to worry about with pace training specifically other than it’s now position dependant (meaning max of 10 players basically) and it’s going to be slightly slower then say pm.

as for pace training, it was also confirmed that it's best to train it first if you want optimal training [the older the player, the bigger the difference on pace training vs other skills]
which kind of sucks since now there's only one way to do the training in proper way...
for example if you train strikers it's best to improve pace as much as possible, then striker as much as possible and in the end technique as much as possible

All assuming Raul has calculated, coded and inferred it correctly :'D
But yes, it is the best estimate without doing actual real world testing.
Still, I think it's best that people train in a way that they get the most enjoyment even if it isn't optimal, because optimal probably isn't that big of a difference anyway

Well it's probably around one skill this or that way... which isn't much but when you pay a lot for top youths you want to make them as good as possible, max them up
I don't really understand the point why would they code it this way
I also don't understand why you can't train MIDs in defence or DEFs in playmaker but you have to give them "wrong" orders on the pitch just to match the training

Helpful posts all the same, gents. I'll take all this on board for current attacking players training, etc.
