Asunto: International Manager Chat
So I got buddy plus, for like 5 days, so not sure if this will work, but feel free to try and join this friendly league and I will attempt to start it before plus runs out

Maybe a strange question, but it's difficult for me the arrange friendlies.
Isn't there something like a friendly cup so I don't have to arrange those friendlies?

You need someone with plus to set up the friendly league but after they’ve done that they can invite teams to participate for the rest of the season.

This is the international forum post where people put up links to the friendly cup they are running.
It is worth keeping an eye on for new post and attempting to join.
Basically you register your interest (follow the link of the post made by the manager, and then click register) and the manager chooses to accept you or not

So a big clear out of inactive teams has occurred, so get ready for sponsorship to plummet for all div 2s within this forum, and many div 1s
I'm not sure if the supporter club members are reset the moment the team gets turned bot by admin, or whether this occurs at the start of a new season, or if it's when a new team takes the old team, but either way, there will be a big decline in sponsorship money in the coming time period for everyone that has been invited to this forum

Being a bot doesn't matter for supporter club members, they gain / lose supporters like every other club.
or if it's when a new team takes the old team
Only this can happen, but it requires new users, and they reset some team supporters anyway (although now they might replace clubs with bigger supporter numbers)

Almost 100% certain it has been confirmed that bots do not gain or lose fanclub members. Instead, they are at the base 200, which is why leagues filled with bots have such poor sponsorship. It's also why when a bot is replaced, no change occurs, but when a user is replaced it can have a huge impact.
Otherwise small nations (less than 8 back in the old system), would have had decent sponsorship money, as many of the bots would have grown fan clubs just through sheer amount of time in the game before getting replaced. They would have been more like having a silent manager in the game

Well, the bot that I replaced had about 800 fan club size and it was changing every week. How do I know that? Because for some reason the chart of fanclub size in office contains info from previous club, so I saw his history until I filled all the weeks on the chart.
Anyway, another evidence:
You can look at matches in, let's say, Australia III.01.
All but one team there were always bots.
The lowest attendances this season (out of 126 matches) were: 1501, 1623, 1652, 1820, 1890, 1935 - 6/126 matches with less than 2000 spectators
Now if you look at matches from the first season after the league reform you will see that average attendance was much lower, a lot more matches with under 2000 spectators, also multiple matches under 1000 spectators.
That's clear indication of increased fanclub sizes compared to the fresh bots.

many of the bots would have grown fan clubs just through sheer amount of time in the game
not necessarily, there's a limit to each level depending on surrounding teams so at one point they'd reach moment when they stay at +/- zero changes to fanclub, especially when losing points regularly, as bots usually do
for example, I'm above the limit/level at my league because years ago I gained supporters at top level and kept some.
I was over 3000, now I'm at 2000-2100.
I had a streak of 18 league games without losing [15W, 3D, 0L], yet almost every week I was either losing supporters, or staying at 0, best I've got was +4 in one week
so assuming these are old teams that were active before and now as bots went to lowest possible level, they were possibly losing supporters instead of gaining them

Bonsoir a tous. Comment faire pour changer la taille de la police sur le jeu en lui meme ? . Merci d'avance
Reading in the development forum looks like Raul has basically more or less confirmed that merging is now on the table but is behind junior reform and supporter expectation reform. So probably still a while off before we find anything further and things change over that length of time so whilst it sounds promising still a bit of waiting to be done.
It is great news.
Sure I'm sure we would all prefer to just have active leagues within our countries and then an International League where we could play other users from around the globe in a competitive fixture, but this is the next best thing.
And with this chat, we can already go to building good connections and commence the friendly rivalries now.
Realistically, the timeframe for the merged league would likely be 6-8 seasons as a minimum (that's not from the Devs, thats my guess)

Some random statistic based on size of country (sorted in to groups based on how much of a league they fill)
Div 1 - up to half (6 users) - 27 countries (28%) - total users 102 (1.3%)
Div 1 - up to a full league (12 users) - 16 (16%) - total users 139 (1.8%)
Div 2 - up to 1/2 filled (30 users) - 16 (16%) - total users 323 (4.2%)
Div 2 - up to full (50 users) - 7 (7%) - total users 271 (3.5%)
Div 3 (6 leagues) (52-74 users) - 13 (13%) - total users 839 (10.8%)
Div 3 (9 leagues) (76-109 users) - 6 (6%) - total users 540 (6.9%)
Div 4 (9 leagues) (113-164 users) - 5 (5%) - total users 714 (9.2%)
Div 4 (18 leagues) (180-218 users) - 2 (2%) - total users 398 (5.1%)
Div 4 (27 leagues) (231-278 users) - 2 (2%) - total users 509 (6.5%)
Div 5 (present any leagues) (330-701 users) - 3 (3%) - total users 1610 (20.7%)
Div 6 (present) - 1 (1%) - total user 2304 (29.6%)
65 countries without enough users to fill 2 leagues
14 countries required div 4+ expansion
The bottom 60% countries have just 7.3% users showing why it's so important to look after the small countries if this is to stay a world game with an active NT scene
The top 8 teams have 59.2% users
If the bottom countries were to be lost, it would mean that the following countries would go from being some of the top teams regularly making the world cup group stage, to being the low hanging fruit teams who would be regularly missing out on the more competitive stages in a reduced NT competition
Nederland, Chile, Colombia, Bulgaria, USA, Hrvatska, Uruguay, Venezuela, Srbija, Cuba, BiH, Peru, Eesti, Suomi, Schweiz, Viet Nam
Thankfully the Devs have stated country merge is on the cards for the future if it can get rolled out before losing nations. It may only affect 7.3% users, but it does affect 60% countries

Very interesting stat.
8% countries contain 60% users
60% countries contain <8% users
This means there is actually a huge growth potential for this game in those countries as long as we can keep committed, experienced users in those countries, especially on the back of a very successful women's world cup if they can advertise and jump on the bandwagon
