we're lead to believe league's rating (average of player's rating), fan base and fan mood enter the sponsorship equation...

are we sure that league's rating is measured based on average player rating, or could it rather be team ranking points ;). The reason I'd be suggesting the latter is if that has no relevance and isn't used for something like prestige, what's the use of it. Could even be a combination of both.

My understanding was that ranking points affected the sponsorship money only...
But by mentioning "league prestige" we're leaving it quite open.... How can we decide between ave. player rating or ranking points? I guess only the devs know...
Maybe we can look at ranking points & player's rating for the 8 teams of one league and 8 teams in an other league to see any correlation with sponsorship...

if it effects sponsorship money it's likely to effect league prestige in some form you'd think.

problem is though it's likely going to be the case that higher ranking point leagues will also have stronger league average ratings so you won't necessarily be able to draw any conclusions.

If it affects the sponsorship it will affect the league prestige...
meaning if you have more money it's likely than your team will benefit from it... kind of stating the obvious :) but which one comes first...
ranking points have a greater effect than "league prestige" imo
i'll back this up with Vivski's 17k loss last week as I dont think II.3 suddenly lost its appeal...

Yeah actually misinterpreted your 1st reply to uberfurious. Thought you were referring to sponsorship money itself, rather than league prestige then I confused myself by mixing the two up.

To correct myself:

Sponsorship money has a large influence on league prestige, current ranking points v opposition ranking points, time spent playing the game & to some extent individual team ratings.

League prestige is pretty much based on average league ratings.

I should really learn to read everything twice before I post :@.
