According to Aussie Striker and sx*, probably somewhere between $200k-$250k.
I would have thought closer to $250k with your fan mood.
Pretty sure you get moved to the new league before the bonuses are paid on Monday of week 0.

I'd be thinking with Achmid dropping back, that will boost II.04's strength significantly, so I'd estimate you'll be around 220k-250k to start off with and this will be included with your seasonal bonus, so you'll get 1.5k x the sponsorship money you receive in II.04 not III.12 and 200 x # of supporters.

Thanks guys... I'm looking at 600k+
That will pay for the stadium mods easily.
I should be able to get 1 or 2 decent trainees with my saving.
exciting times :)

although, this Saturday you'll still get III.12 sponsorship but it will be your final one.
So we can revive the old discussion about throwing newbies in the III.
Here's some figures for you Vivski and Cometer.

graph2:
Graph1 comments:
- I only recorded sponsorship money for the last 8 weeks of S12.
- S13's 1st curve deep the cup loss and the 2nd deep is my only loss of that season
- S14 1st deep is the cup loss, wk 6 and wk11 is the newbies coming in...
- my end of season sponsorship of S14 is lower than the one of S12.
- my end of season sponsorship of S14 is 34k lower than the one of S13.
Graph2 comments:
- x=23 the first newbie comes in
- x=28 the 2nd newbie comes in
- x=33 the 3rd newbie comes in
- x=19 the only league loss
Now if you take the asymtote of S13 and make the asumption the grow is linear... I could have been looking at a sponsorship money of around 210k on week15 of S14. In reality I got 161k.
Taking that into account and with a safe 1k growth each week I would have had 198k wk1 and 210k wk15 for S14. That's roughly a 534k loss in sponsorship money over S14 which I'll cut to 500k roughly if I guesstimate the cup loss impact.
We had 4 newbies coming in III.12 over the last two seasons, only Uber is considered active imo so far... 500k is quite vital for a III team imo. You might just afford one decent trainee but you can easily increase your stadium noticeably, or improve your trainers greatly or even build a very decent youth school that ultimately will boost the club to higher standards.
On the other hand during S13 I had 1.77m in gate income compare to 2.01m during S14. These numbers can't really be taken into account since I've increase my stadium by at least 6000 seats during this period.

for sure! that would be helpful.
I'm working on it thought... some good stuff will come out this season
I'm working on it thought... some good stuff will come out this season
yeah but you're forgetting a few issues here, otherwise I agree with you.
1) You're still getting more than I was getting in III and a lot of others.
2) You did lose 3 teams in your league which is rare but you lost some very long serving teams (YA,Arsenal) so that's going to drop temporarily
3) Probably the most important one you've missed is the fact of considering long term sponsorship should rise if those teams replacing the older ones become active and actually improve the side, I know presently that's not happening but if it were to happen over the course of 2-3 seasons it would regain itself.
4) Ranking points improve from smashing the new teams making it easier for automatic promotion and for getting a nicer cup draw.
End of the day I don't deny your league got hit hard but it should serve as incentive to promote quicker ;). That's not to justify it being like that but in theory at least it should work out better long term if we could keep the users.

mmm I don't think I omitted any issues here I just have a different opinion on the subject as I was actually in the thick of it this season, otherwise I agree with you too :)
1) You're still getting more than I was getting in III and a lot of others.
I don't care about that. If you were underpaid in 1943 you should have said something... It has nothing to do with today's rules. I feel like I'm hearing my grandad :p
2) You did lose 3 teams in your league which is rare but you lost some very long serving teams (YA,Arsenal) so that's going to drop temporarily
YA was there 10 seasons ago... it is not temporarily, it will take time to make up for this.

That is exactly where you and the devs are wrong. You are all planning on something that is not happening and will not happen. This is just bad management pure and simple, the plan doesnt work, scrap it and save the furniture while you can.
Why? just look at the fact after a season and a half. Sponsorship money issue aside we are not keeping the newbies interested, fact. So sooner or later they're going to be bot and then replaced... vicious circle :p
4) Ranking points improve from smashing the new teams making it easier for automatic promotion and for getting a nicer cup draw.
I was owning YA and Arsenal last season and with a 30 goal margin over the 5th in the promotion table this season, it had no incidence on my situation.
Ranking wise if you choose your friendly carefully you can compensate for it but I agree that might be the only plus here.
On the other hand Uber should get a 14/14 next season, is he going to be able to stay in II the season after... very questionable and if he does (which I hope) what says that he's going to enjoy getting beaten week in week out?
End of the day I don't deny your league got hit hard but it should serve as incentive to promote quicker ;).
I agree again it well did :)
It's not because that now I'm in II that I won't care about the issue.
To be fair, I change my mind a bit about it. I don't have a problem with newbies coming into III, I don't think it's the right solution to keep them interested but that's how it is. They be better in IV learning the ropes.
Where I disagree 100% is, it shouldnt have such an influence money wise on the others teams in the league in question. What exactly these teams have done wrong to be penalised? nothing...
I think at least they should review how the sponsorship money is calculated because I don't think the rules is going to change anytime soon.

If we look at this just from a money point of view, ignoring the speculation about whether it is or isn't better for the current or newbie teams...
a) once-off - As these long-standing bot teams go to div 3 to die, they artificially increase the sponsor money for the league. When they do die, it normalises. Ideally, when div 3 is full of active teams, the sponsorship money will be far higher than it is now, but for now it's a transition zone.
While it will take a long time to rebuild to the level of money when div 3 had these relic teams, the worst is now over. I don't think we'll see another hit like we did this season.
Rather than downright rejecting the scheme, I would have liked to see the teams affected reimbursed for their suffering.
b) I think I did my dash on point a.

Probably said it better than what I was trying to say in one of my points :). Just means some current teams who've been experiencing it get affected.

This one I still disagree with, YA may have been around approx 10 seasons but hadn't really been active the past 2-3 and wasn't even then what I'd consider active on improving the side thus not improving ratings much. Mainly stuck with the same players throughout most of that, so that's firstly why they were in div 3 rather than div 2 where pretty much every other side who's been around for 10 seasons is situated.
That is why I said any new team could catch that up within 3 seasons if they seriously tried to. Perhaps I should have said 3-4. I guess it depends on what you calculate league prestige by: ranking points? average ratings? fan club size?. I've always tended to believe it was average ratings myself playing a large part, no proof on that though.
That is exactly where you and the devs are wrong. You are all planning on something that is not happening and will not happen.
Ok so it hasn't worked too well for our case as of yet, I'm unsure of others, I've asked for stats because I was of the belief it wasn't working as planned. I'm speaking purely from myself here not as a member of staff that it still remains if people suddenly did become active the sponsorship money will increase over time and there would be less trash to have to replace thus stabilizing the league (Check A League, II). I've also questioned the same things you have and I'm not pro for this kind of a hit either but I'm not quick to knock it until I've got sufficient evidence to suggest otherwise.
The other thing to note here is we don't actually have the numbers for a 4th division atm and if we were to go back to 3 new teams have to go somewhere so the same issue occurs.
I think at least they should review how the sponsorship money is calculated because I don't think the rules is going to change anytime soon.
The problem is the prestige is there as a way of differentiating those that lose in harder ones and hover between moods causing a bigger drop in sponsorship then those that should be cruising. Determining a league strength computationally isn't going to be 100% accurate but it is an approximation of strength. Would need a total rethink about sponsorship money to correct the problem and to allow for league strength as fairness. As an example I'd almost bank on II.03 getting more sponsorship money than either II.02 or II.04 (referring to the top teams) but I'm sure you'll agree II.03 deserves to be rewarded more than in II.02 and II.04.
I'm not opposed to a sponsorship change but it would have to be a decent idea of how it could work in a fair enough way without making some other area worse off.

I think prestige is ranked on fan number or ranking points.
This bites, from 232 062 AU$ to 129 654 AU$.
Leaves me with a weekly starting balance of -175 666 AU$
Mmmm that is going to be a problem.
