A bit ahead of our div 2 sponsorship. Currently taking in a whopping 91k/wk. :p
Will see how it develops over the season.

It was my argument all along, when managing my former Magpies....how div 5 Polish (& Czech for that matter) teams could be in place for less than half a year & be bidding millions on the TM...& not just bidding but winning.....& not just one player.
Not to mention constant arena upgrades where they'd be up to 40-50k capacity in no time.
Ho hum....or should that be Hi Ho Hi Ho....

They don't want to fix this, because it helps their nation moving forward.

It's simple to see what is happening, and they have been called out many times over it.

But they do not care, and just want to make sure Poland has all the advantages they can

I'm sure there may be an element of not caring about the small nations and I'm wary of being told something and then subsequently burned but I'm not getting that impression about the sponsorship side. I think the original devs that was true for sure but when I asked a current dev about it I got a few responses back acknowledging that it was something they should look into (but then the league proposal kind of shows how you need to be somewhat careful taking things at face value). I'll save my judgement for later. If nothing changes here then I definitely agree. I know things aren't good and they never really were even back in the day, but I never got any responses back from devs in the past so at the very least they're communicating back (even if it's difficult to know how much to believe, if any).

Preliminary results which I have posted in the following thread for anyone who wants to express their distaste in this totally unfair sponsorship rort

https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/63355/ID_topic/3449675/pg/2

So here's a little update

Australia:
Fantum - Started in June 2018 - 131 250 $ sponsorship - won all league games - rating 52
Cometer - Started in April 2020 - 55 500 $ sponsorship - rating 32

Italia:
Player 1 - Started in Sept 2019 - 150 000 $ sponsorship - lost 3 of 4 league matches - rating 48
Player 2 - Started in Nov 2019 - 161 250 $ sponsorship - lost 3 of 4 league matches - rating 47
Player 3 - Started in Jan 2020 - 137 813 $ sponsorship - rating 41
Player 4 - Started in Mar 2020 - 129 063 $ sponsorship - rating 45

Poland:
Player 1 - Started in Feb 2020 - 112 500 $ sponsorship - lost 4 of 4 league matches. - ratig 35
Player 2 - Started in April 2020 - 111 250 $ sponsorship - rating 37
Player 3 - Started in April 2020 - 106 563 $ sponsorship - rating 30
Player 4 - Started in Apr 2020 - 111 250 $ sponsorship - rating 35
Player 5 - Started in April 2020 - 93 750 $ sponsorship - rating 24

This is already telling a huge story just how much advantages Large nations have over small nations in the current system. Most of these users started about the same time as cometer, and rates a similar score as cometer, but receive twice as much sponsorship each week.

Many of these "earn" only a small amount less than fantum, who has played for two years, and rates much much higher. A new team should not be able to earn a similar amount as a team who has played for 2 years just because of the country they started in.

And because of this unfair earnings, they will soon be able to rate the same as fantum but in a fraction of the time (because remember, it isn't just sponsorship that is so much in their favour, they also get much higher gate takings because of their opposition being humans and not bots or inactive humans), which then perpetuates this cycle, all because they were given an unfair advantage at the start

Now I have _james implying that I have made these numbers up
2020-06-15 12:08:12
We all know it, and we're all in agreement here. The only positive is that all of us here play under the same conditions so our own leagues are at least fair in that respect. Mind you, sometimes I wish I lived in WA to get the additional 2-3 hours closer to the best of the transfer market but that's minor in the scheme of things. The champions cup for agbell becomes unfair though and overall the whole concept is unfair when we're trying to build our sides but can't compete with the same money as others simply for being in the wrong country.

So have you asked James to pull his head out of his ar5e...politely of course....& rather than imply based on the fact he doesn't want to know...but actually follow it up to see for his own self...then come back with a substantiated retort !!

Again....no forest here....only a multitude of trees!!! FFS. :(

Footnote: Seeing I only managed a 7-0 league win....one supporter left the club.

I wish I was on the East coast so I could be 2-3 hrs later and catch the end of the transfer market in the morning.

IMO prime transfer time is in the window between 15:00-23:00, with the best of it really ramping up between 18:00-20:00

0:00 is 6am my time. So that means I usually go to bed just as the bulk of the best players start expiring (ie deadline getting extended by 30-60 minutes from all the last-minute snipers), and wake up just after most player gets off the market.

Sponsorship imbalance is a thing, but the transfer system is also a killer.

For low end players (youths etc) you get screwed listing outside of those hours as there aren't enough buyers for that level of players to find the market value.

For high end players demand for players outside those hours outstrips supply and you often have to overpay relative to peak hours to get top end players. But the variance is high, so when you list your own players you don't always get fair market price either. Its my #1 pet peeve once you get your team established.

Good point. I’m not an early riser and consider myself a night owl so I can see how the east coast can catch the other side of the transfer market for early risers. I hadn’t thought about that possibility.
2020-06-16 10:52:05
I think cometer and I need to swap locations with you Naph, because I'm also a night owl. Sounds like we may all go to bed and wake up at the same time, just at different "times" relative to our timezone
2020-06-16 14:19:09
I'm a wannabe night owl, who gets up for his kids anyway.

My absolute best sponsorship here, and it won't go up much more due to the flawed system

from sponsors: 457 618 AU$

Hopefully we can work together and get back over the 500k mark

Lol, once again, someone from a big country feels the need to come in to the evening sponsorship between countries, in the sokker development forum, and say how there isn't a bias towards large nations with sponsorship, even though I have proven it many times.

I love how they come from a position of power and tell me there is no problem. That doesn't even make sense

I've given up trying after the last contribution in the forums. You saw my argument & the responses....which were nothing short of nonsense. They couldn't even back it up....just telling me I'm wrong & stating falsehoods about my team & how I've managed. As soon as I challenged back with facts, it was silence.
Wont' be wasting my breath again.
