Asunto: Sponsorship

Well you can always +/- guess the value when youth comes out from YS. Anyway I sold all during those 2 years mentioned, except for two - one is an average GK [18yo, 12 goalkeeper, 7 pace, 3 passing], second one is decent [21yo, 15 pace, 10 tech, 7 striker] - second one turned to be uber talented, when he came out he was bang average, I just had free spots in my team so I kept him. Still not a world beater, but worth keeping as he will keep on gaining value.

Don't get me wrong, I like YS, has it since I could afford it, kept unearthly coach since 15 years, especially in small countries it's very important as many people as possible have them, but I wouldn't advertise it as a way to stabilise the finances, on the contrary - you can open it when your finances are stable.

Yep agree with that last point.

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones then. I think this season alone I’ve made about $6m from junior sales. I’ve also still got the likes of Crampton, Greenwood, renaud, scuderi,Ponting all from my YS that I haven’t sold as I’ve been training so when I sell these I expect at least 20m probably closer to 30m. On top of that these players have saved me spending on others off the transfer market for similar trainees so there’s probably 5-6m saved there as well. Looking at finances juniors widget I’m 4.5m in the black on youth school this season and was 800k in the black last season and that’s after counting costs associated with that.

I agree with what’s been said but I also feel like since ys is a long game you should start a little sooner then you’d ideally like so that when you’re ready you have established players coming out. I just wouldn’t go overboard with the size and keep it as small as possible so that you can field a junior league team for better assessment of talent. Just comes down to strategy and whether you care about the nts enough to get enjoyment from that.

372k here…not that I’ve paid any attention for a long time.
The quandary is now that I’m guaranteed 5th before final round, do I sacrifice result & sponsorship/mood for full training?

Sorry to hear that. Exposes the problem we have with lack of users and 12 team leagues with 3 automatic demotions. What I’d look at doing for yourself if you could was working out how you can get yourself in a position to compete for 9th in the A League next season. If that is with training / player purchases or if that is from improved tactics this is the season to work on all of that where it doesn’t matter so much

385k for myself this week. Probably close to the most I’ve ever received since coming back.

I'm sitting steady in the low-mid 400s

So looks like perhaps the new end of season bonus payments have occurred. Not sure yet but it definitely seemed earlier then it has in the past. Whether we now get more from club membership renewal will be interesting (if we don't it's a massive loss of income). Guess we wait and find out.

Just over $425k here….go figure?!

Definitely alot less now. Fan numbers also didn't jump a fair bit last season due to the expectations.

League II clubs are struggling and can probably see the gaps increase with A-league teams. Funky Town in my league is bankrupt and Tribe is now without an owner in my league!

I think your sponsorship has probably done down mainly due to the qualification match loss, but also because of all the friendly losses since then as well.

Tribe probably actually has enough supporters that your league prestige has probably gone up (although he has had a few div 2 stints now), and I'd expect if you got your fans to a similar level as pre qualification loss, you would probably end up with a little more sponsorship than before.
2024-06-20 02:52:45
Fair enough. I usually go for higher ranking teams to boost ticket sales in friendly and never really consider that. Tribe will be a hard one though but probably best chance of finishing top in a while.

Friendlies have a very small impact but do have an impact. Qualifiers have a massive impact and losing those hurt (as do cup matches)

What you’ll have to do is basically win everything in div2 to and maybe by mid season that supporters expectations and mood will be higher.

The other factor I think is each season supporter mood is reset to the middle ground and that just kills sponsorship for everyone.

The only good thing about this expectations and fan mood rework is that it’s also harder to fall in supporter mood after a single result (excluding end of season or qualifiers).
