Asunto: Youth players

Bad luck mate, I don't know what it is about Australia and "Brilliant" keepers, but I also got one a few seasons ago...It's a real pain

Steven McKinnon, age: 16

club: The Comets, country: Australia
value: 36 800 AU$, wage: 920 AU$
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

unsatisfactory stamina tragic keeper
weak pace poor defender
average technique hopeless playmaker
hopeless passing average striker

Adequate pull, wish I knew his talent but he wasn't in long enough, popped 1 time in 8 weeks, 4 weeks ago (counting today as a week).

The decisions. Dodgy skills but good for an adequate and for a 16yo. Unknown talent guessing its around 5-6.
2008-07-24 15:21:05
I had a similar youth. 16yo, average x3.

Was sold last month as a 20yo for $1mil. A lot more than the $64k I got for him :p
2008-07-24 15:25:08
If you're training pace you keep him to determine talent.

If you're training anything else you sell him as all you know is that his talent is worse than 4. I'm at a point where almost all my trainees are talent 4.33 or less, and I imagine you'd be aiming for the same.
2008-07-24 15:25:51
Yeah, I've had a triple average 16yo before, in fact I've still got him and is none other than Necevski, so 16yo solids can do the trick ;).
2008-07-24 15:28:22
I aim for 4.5's and under, but when I purchase players they need to be 4 or under, or what I consider cheap for the distribution.

Yeah he's somewhere above 4.5, so it's most likely I'll end up selling as I'm not training pace, did that most of last season and the season before.
2008-07-24 15:30:24
Teen Girl Squad is training keepers, I think.
2008-07-24 15:44:37
already has the top 2 U21 keepers for the NT atm so I don't think that will work, given you can only train 2 gk's at a time, until you train pace, passing.

He's awesome. Anyone who says it's a bad pull is out of their mind. Having excellent defender/striker/passing with good stamina is far, far, far worse.

It happened to a 3.67 talent pull of mine. Let me see where he's languishing now.

EDIT: Lol, retired player. His former team's been taken over and is in the Belgian 6th division now.

happened to me also. my first ever brilliant for who I was waiting 8 seasons went for um...200k zloty which is 50k euro which is...nope, I still can't remember Au$ currency :p
2008-07-26 14:03:30
Well, absolutely none of my youths formidable+ have sold or resold for more than a 1 million...

I've only kept one of them - Stan Bacak (worth a few million).
2008-07-26 18:28:25
Yep, you're right and I'm happy with him for sure! I was dreading a def/pm/striker (as I've seen before) but at the same time ruing what could have been. I'll get another brilliant one day, but not from any of my current juniors
