Kris Bonetig, age: 18

club: The Comets, country: Australia

good pace tragic defender
unsatisfactory technique weak playmaker
excellent passing unsatisfactory striker

Pulled as formidable (5 weeks/pop)

George Baillie, age: 17

club: The Comets, country: Australia
value: 117 600 AU$, wage: 1 720 AU$
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

weak stamina tragic keeper
tragic pace solid defender
average technique good playmaker
good passing poor striker

Baillie looks extremely good for a defense trainer who is focussing primarily on defense and pace over the next 3-4 seasons. Could be a useful U21 player if trained in pace and defense. Let me know asap if you are interested in him and are a defender trainer. I suppose he could become a midfielder if someone is willing to train pace long time, but defender would appear the best option.

Bonetig came out a little disappointing but is also still workable.

Most likely will be listed tomorrow unless people specifically request otherwise.

ouch, the very definition of mediocre
2009-06-25 11:32:43

I'll keep to form and produce another quality player who is 17 :).

Pulled as formidable (4 weeks/pop in YS, graph can be provided)

Nikola Schwarzer, age: 17

club: The Comets, country: Australia
value: 105 200 AU$, wage: 1 600 AU$
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

weak stamina tragic keeper
weak pace average defender
weak technique good playmaker
hopeless passing solid striker

Perfect for a striker trainer, even has some defending and playmaking attached to it for those who care for those sideskills ;). At this rate given our issues with U21 strikers he could well be in with a chance in a few seasons time depending on what else we produce.

I also pulled this but I doubt anyone will be interested.

weak technique solid playmaker

Has anyone actually successfully trained up a 16 year old? They seem over rated to me.
2009-07-02 11:30:07
These are the 16yos I know about that have been trained up

Clint Deeley
John Mitchell
Esala Sianidis
Necevski I believe was as well, but he just never made it
and I think Jim Amien was 16, but he may have been 17.
2009-07-02 13:16:23
my striker Bartalesi was a 16yo trained up too... pretty handy now!
2009-07-02 13:57:44
Necevski indeed came out 16. Tbh he's pretty close but the problem he had was that strikers only fight for 2/3 places in the 16 man squad.

For the sake of proving that 16 yo's can turn out to be good and that I'm a huge fan of 16/17 yo's, here's his stats before and after.

Currently
Kristian Necevski, age: 26

formidable stamina tragic keeper
magical pace good defender
brilliant technique very good playmaker
average passing magical striker

Initial Skills
Pulled as solid
Kristian Necevski, age 16
value: 55 600 AU$, wage: 1 080 AU$
very good form

hopeless stamina,
average pace,
average technique,
tragic passing,
tragic keeper
unsatisfactory defender
average playmaker
average striker

So make from that what you will but 16 yo's are indeed nice to get.

ok cometer, get on msn, I'm bored...and need someone to play facebook games with...

That's right, this is the youth players thread...my bad :)
2009-07-02 14:01:15
you looking to sell terjeh? His secondaries aren't quite up to the standard I look for, but he is an aussie, and for an 18yo, his pace/def is better than what I normally go for
2009-07-02 14:04:38
Currently he is occupying the last training position I have, so he will get some passing training for now.

We will see after that.
