On another note just got this guy come into my YS, hope he has some talent.

Any guesstimations on what I can sell him for at the moment?

You could probably squeeze about 2 million from him. Really depends on what time you list or if you find a buyer before you list.

I am also considering holding him until the end of the season and selling him as a 17yr old early next season. I could get a few passing pops into him before season's end.

If you manage to arrange a buyer for a reasonable amount that you're happy with, then there's no reason why you shouldn't sell now. Failing that, listing during the end of season payday is the next best option.

Passing pops aren't particularly necessary for a striker (although they're still useful, like all secondaries)

I have a 19 week Excellent at the moment. He's popped 3 times, twice after 3 weeks and once after 4. Scheduled to be an unearthly. Came in as a 31 week good.

Training pace/tech (with a touch of def).....to sell or not to sell?

well if you're training pace/technique then you could train that and then sell, or you could sell now, or you could keep for your own team. The choice is really upto you.

Assuming he is talented, and given what you've said you're training, I don't really see any reason not to keep him.

Talent is slightly above 5....I'll give him some pace/tech & then think about selling.

If you've got the space in your training plan without sacrificing a better player then there's no harm done, although with tragic tech, hopeless pm and 1-2 weeks away from being 20 it's likely an uphill battle to get a lot out of him.
