This forum doesn't like angle brackets at all. Catches me out about onc every 6 months or so.
2011-08-19 10:09:45
I thought it was to do with the angle brackets being interpreted as a piece of code (more specifically the tags used in html) and not the character.

So if you wanted the character well it's easy :P

< = (& # 60;) and > (& # 62;) :)

I'd think the space between character(s) is the key?
2011-08-21 15:51:14
depends on the context. In the example I gave I've left spaces in deliberately, otherwise it converts it to the less than or greater than sign. In terms of messages anything after the less than sign automatically gets cut until a greater than sign is used, hence why messages are truncated. Example below.

< test > test2

I see Greenwood is listed again.

Got an offer too good to refuse?

I'm sure Krayzee will be happy.

Yeah, couldn't refuse such offer. The guy was very much into Greenwood, I don't really know why, but from what he said and from his previous players I guess that he should train him properly. I will try to keep in touch with his progress so he won't go to waste.

over 6 mil? thats mad!
2011-08-23 10:22:43
I've got no problems with you buying and selling him on for as much as you have, but I don't really buy into the fact you bought Greenwood for training purposes. Within 2-3 days of buying Greenwood you had plastered transfer ads all over the place. I think it's a good move financially and hope you enjoy yet more profit.

Borkos knows how to squeeze dollars out of people and is very effective with it :). He has a transfer profit for a reason afterall, he's not what I'd consider a 'daytrader', he's just very effective at selling players on at the right time for good money. Certainly one skill I don't really have but I'm not really in the best timezone for it either.

Erm...I made the ads the moment he went on TL mate :). There was no info whatsoever about him before...

The guy who's buying him sent me a sk-mail that he wanted to buy him but didn't have the money at the deadline. If I really wanted to make a profit I'd agree for less than 3 875 000 $, but as I wanted to have an Aussie, one more after Maras and Willis, I didn't even consider selling him. But when he gave me his final offer I just couldn't say no...

fair enough. I stand corrected. It just looked weird given he was advertised in several transfer related threads that's all. I then just assumed the guy who wanted the player saw him from one of those. My apologies :).

No problem :)

profit/loss: 288 547 707 AU$ average 55 880 AU$

Pretty scary stuff from Borkos....& the prospective buyer is around 22 mill profit from transfers.

40 mins or so for me usurp this chump...LOL!! Mwwwwaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaaa!!!
