How can a guy with the following stats be listed as a keeper in YS?
weak stamina hopeless keeper
solid pace hopeless defender
tragic technique hopeless playmaker
adequate passing unsatisfactory striker
If taking primaries into account, then he is a striker??? SK must be looking at Pace, Pass, GK on the whole?
The ridiculous run of rubbish youths continues. 48k/week may well be better served in my bank with 750k towards a purchase each season being far more beneficial to my team. Add to that the 66k/week to my "magical" youth coach & you have 1 mill + 750k.....
....what am I doing...that's a serious youth purchase with 1.75 million each season!!
:-)

2mil ain't gonna buy much youth. Especially now Aussie youth.
With the Aussie NT suffering from a lack of youth schools, it stopped being about money long ago. Although having said that, on top of producing several players I'm proud of, my YS has earned me plenty of $$$ too. Not highly profitable, but profitable none-the-less.

We've already gone through this. Look at the statistics page at your youth school transfers. Mine is:
Sum: 31 058 209 AU$
I haven't been here enough seasons to have paid out that much in YS costs. It seems like you ain't making money, but if you look at overall, I bet you are.

Perhaps because pace+passing is weighted more heavily towards gk then other positions. Makes sense really as strikers don't require passing and midfielders and defenders require tech/pm and defender. Annoying but you can sort of predict it with gk's if they continue to get low marks in junior matches.

Must be a plus thing to be able to see that?
Of the youths to enter my school for the whole of 2011 & into 2012, the biggest sale has been 4.1 mill for Haddleton, then down to 65k for next best & not much else to speak of....that's 4 seasons of YS with one decent sale & nothing elso of note that will sell for much or make it in my snr squad. So we're talking almost 5 seasons for < 4.3 mill return...maybe a little more on a couple of sales of current snr squad members, but nothing of significance.
2 current squadies may be ok if skill set works out...when they pop at 19 (one next week)...but that's it.
I have to go back to 2010 for Budin & Jackovic for decent entries into my YS.
It's been a long, dry spell. Long gone are the days of having Patterson, Williams, Davis, Bourke, Bacak & Lewis all rolling out like a production line.

Uber, out of that $31m how much has been since the youth school change where you can't accurately pinpoint the talent of the player? I've personally found I've struggled to get anything since that point but had plenty beforehand.
Cometer: Good players with big sumskills still get big dollars. Take a screenshot of talent on sokker website using osokker talent tool prior to graduating the player. Everyone trusts that talent screenshot as gospel. Especially players that have been there for months.
Fantum: Sum: 56 854 541 AU$
Here is your transfer profit from your youth school. I don't think you've spend that on costs mate...

Yeah, I'm not disputing that at all. I was more interested in the frequency. I've really struggled to produce anything in recent times since the junior school change with not being able to predict talent. Perhaps it's just one of those rough periods so I was interested in working out how much of your $31m came before the change.
Looking back through the stats I can see I seem to have a batch of good juniors come through every 4 months or so. My last 3 juniors have been awesome so I can't complain about post-talent change.

I'm with Cometer on this as apart from Haddleton, most of this 56 mill relates back to 2010 youths & earlier. Just did a quick tracking of youths from this year & all of 2011, & Haddleton aside, no 100+k sales. That's a long, dry spell.
