Asunto: Youth players

Nice player there and great prospect for the future if he's talented. 15 sumskill for a 16yo striker is pretty high from what I've seen.

This guy has confirmed talent of 3. 11 pops over 34 weeks! Pulled as brilliant. If only he wasn't 20yo.

Nice pull, shame about the age/distribution.
If a couple of those passing went on to Pace/Def or if he rolled striker skills, would have been quite nice.

Worth a sale with a screenshot in a transfer announcement so that the buyer will know he is talented (and maybe pull down a little extra $ for you)

Given he didn't just place a straight up bid of 9M I'd say that is market value.
At 16, he is going to pop quick regardless so if he slows down enough, Vampyr will still get out without a big loss.
If he ends up being talented, his resale value could be double or more.

I think it's actually a fairly smart buy with close monitoring.

I think there's still a small risk here if he is really bad talent. Also the higher the price goes up the more interest it attracts as people start to think he must be talented. I guess the other factor is junior prices have gone up because there's fewer of them on the transfer market as people keep their own talents and more people shut down youth schools. Market value is always sketchy because people seem to pay way more for the potential that may not eventuate. The higher you go the less margins you get.

I'm hopeful it may work out but I feel $9m is an awful lot for myself without even a slight indication that his talent is above average. Time will tell. I mean the game works differently for us in Australia compared to Europe so maybe everything is fine ;).

And then there is also the other reason, Vampyr is an honorary Sk-Australia manager :D Has done a lot for Aus and takes a lot of pride in training Aussies and helping us move forward too. Some incredible youths have been trained for a period of time through the training at his club.

Yes, my comment wasn't to detract that. Always good to have someone reliable training our players (and who won't simply block player skills from NT managers for their own ego ;)

I'm aware of that but when it comes to Aussies, the price doesn't matter. I'm not doing this for my own profit but for the sake of your NT. All of the Aussies I got are way overpaid, including the 16yo mentioned above. Not going to resell any of them, at least until achmid or you say a specific player doesn't have any future in the NT.
Not counting on any profit, none of my Aussies is for sale at any price. Training them to make your NT greater has more value for me than the money I'd receive. I stopped enjoying sk some time ago and found new joy in doing this for you, so call me insane. Hope I made myself clear how it works :)

Oh I knew that and hopefully you didn't read my comment as any attack against what you have been doing for us. I really appreciate people helping us out. I work the same way in that I'm training players beyond what I would expect to if I was solely focussed on my own club and I also pay overs if it's a talented local. I was more surprised others were interested in continuing to outbid you once it got to say 5m-6m.
2023-08-12 08:30:30
Definitely appreciate it Vampyr.

I think all users from large countries should adopt a smaller nation because you joy you get from training for the NT is quite big.

And definitely happy to update at the end of U21 seasons how your players look compared to others when moving in to seniors.
Kirkpatrick will 100% play for seniors
Bonetig is up in the air re: talent, but will definitely play a role in U21s
Same can be said with Crews, although he is sitting #2 MID for his age
Myers is a gun surrounded by guns, so this will be constant communication with cometer
Shipley I fully expect to be a started in U21s as he is both in the running for ATT and DEF at present
Wheelhouse is also very exciting and #1 U18 ATT

Overall you have an amazing group of trainees

Oh I knew that and hopefully you didn't read my comment as any attack against what you have been doing for us.

Not at all. I didn't know it's even possible to attack someone who's helping you out and not expecting any credit or anything in return :)

Vampyr para achmid
You sure Crews is classified as a mid? I'm almost sure he's a striker with decent future.

Also, the other side of buying Aussies is helping the teams develop. A money shot like this should make more competitive leagues and bring better coaches. Hope these 9M will encourage eddie to give sk a chance and log in a little bit more often.
