Will have a slot in a few days, so looking for another Aussie. Does anyone have someone for me? Most likely for def, pace, tech, striker or GK. The price doesn't matter, like always.

Pulled as incredible. Disappointed about the age because it's a pretty good stat distribution had he been younger.

Now not a single junior in my school matches my criteria to keep. I kept 8 anyway, which I hope so be 10 tomorrow, so I won't forfeit. Maybe I'll sack them all and drop out of the youth league until I actually have a set worth keeping.

And this is despite keeping enough each week to not max out? You may need to lower your standards.

Ive only ever once got down to 14 I think with my standards, but have maxed out a couple of times when I've forgotten to change my max amount. I now just keep it at 30 because I forget too often

I'm having 20, but honestly I think maybe 3 will bring any money at all, others will probably get sacked or kicked out of YS at one point further down the line

I'm the same. I'm down to 11 in the squad and 7 of them would normally be sacked and are there just to keep the youth team alive. They will be sacked as soon as any decent youth arrive. It makes me wonder whether something has changed as I don't recall an extended barren period like this.

Been on a bit of a dry run myself after starting with some really great talents. I don’t think anything has changed (I sure hope not). I think if it had you’d notice our u21 being significantly weaker which I don’t think it is trending that way. Has seasonal cycles but not a continuous downward trend. So on aggregate we’re still producing players from somewhere. I think some of it can be attributed to seasons being shorter which reduces both numbers for youth players in aggregate but also changes our perspective on useful pulls since they age quicker too. The other is the randomness of coach evaluation errors which make it harder to know if you have potential or not.

Hope your droughts end soon though.

As you say, maybe we're starting to see the effect of the shorter seasons. You say we're still producing good players for U21 NT. It would be interesting to see what age those players were when they promoted.

I have 4 juniors with potential. The rest are all a couple of skills short. A longer season would be worth at least one skill level for a talented junior. That works against anyone promoting at 18/19yo.

Suspect they could be deduced if they’d been published in this thread previously or had only been transferred once when they were pulled.

I haven't looked through the others, but of my current crop of U21 trainees, 2 were young 17yo, 6 were 16yo and I'm not sure about Tennant.

Looking back historically, I assume most players destined for the NT were promoted at either 16 or 17yo anyway. I looked back and found NT Turner was a 16yo VG from fantum.

These are very interesting stats. Would certainly be good to see the trend with all the stats for players that have played for the U21s over the past say 6 or so seasons
