I'm thinking CM for Boutsianis. But what is the ideal distribution for a 21yo CM?
With 54 skill points to share across pace, tech, pass, def & pm... where would you put them for a CM?

Aim for 12 pace, then pass and pm 10-11 + so he is duable for u21... then pace to 14, then its up to you... pace first cause its the one that gets slower to train faster
Answering my own question, this is what I'd target for a CM with 54 skills.
pace [12] , def [10]
tech [10] , pm [11]
pass [11]
pace [12] , def [10]
tech [10] , pm [11]
pass [11]
Yes but tech can be done after 14 pace without hurting his u21 nt chances
If he random pops twice to get to average tech, he isn't playing u21 with average tech
He has 3 seasons as 18, 19, 20 to pop from general training
Assuming no injuries: 39 GT / 7 = equivalent of 5/6 adv trainings, so 3 pops without training since he's fresh from YS
now the question is should he be prepare for u21 or main team... if for u21 then he needs some tech, if for main team he needs pace, pace, pace to maximise potential

Given the lowly expectations I had a couple of decent pulls.
First was just a Solid - no real idea of talent. Probably says more about some of my current trainees than his quality, but I'll look to train I think. I like his height for a striker.
Blake Gunning, age: 17
club: Hackney Marshes, country: Australia
value : 71 600 AU$
wage: 1 200 AU$
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 192 cm, weight: 93.3 kg, BMI: 25.31
hopeless [1] stamina tragic [0] keeper
average [5] pace unsatisfactory [2] defender
good [7] technique unsatisfactory [2] playmaker
average [5] passing adequate [6] striker
Second was just an excellent and while the mix of skills means he's no doubt worthless (both to me and the market) I was still pleasantly surprised.
Eric Caruso, age: 19
club: Hackney Marshes, country: Australia
value : 172 400 AU$
wage: 2 440 AU$
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 168 cm, weight: 64.8 kg, BMI: 22.96
tragic [0] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
unsatisfactory [2] pace very good [9] defender
unsatisfactory [2] technique poor [3] playmaker
weak [4] passing excellent [10] striker

If Gunning is talented, then he's a great striker prospect.

Gunning looks a decent prospect. Newly minted 17yo with a good distribution of skills. Chuck him on pace training and see what happens and you’ll work out talent pretty quickly. If he has any talent he will be a great addition to your squad (alternatively if he was talented he’d probably sell for a truckload the way the market is these days too).
If he gets from adequate to good pace in 3 weeks or better, you'll get heaps for him.

Agree with the above. Gunning looks like a future U21 Aus ATT to me (at least for now)
Bob Xu, age: 18, height: 186 cm

passing [3] poor, striker [0] tragic
Pulled as solid. I've seen worse. If you're going to have stacks on a single skill pace is probably the one to have it on. Still think it's too far back to be worth anything though.

I'll have to check, bur with 10 on pace, the slowest skill to train, he may actually be right in there as a defender if he is talented.
Will check at some stage

Depends on his talent. With 2 full seasons of defender training, he'd look decent.
