Yeah great distribution poor age. Wonder if you could salvage that and just have him as a defender to save having to train 2-3 skills. Could just train defender and pace (pace first obviously) and he might be a handy defender?
2024-08-15 11:04:43
I'm afraid even with this talent he may struggle to get 16/16
2024-08-15 11:49:50
Oh I wasn't thinking NT material as such, but more as a reasonable club player. Think you could get 2x 16 pretty easily.

Anyway pulled as very good (talent ~6.33 although he had 4 pops in 19 weeks so 6.33 could be slightly inflated)

Elias Ozbey, age: 17
club: The Comets, country: Australia
value : 61 600 AU$ wage: 1 080 AU$
very good [9] form tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 177 cm, weight: 72 kg, BMI: 22.98

average [5] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
poor [3] pace tragic [0] defender
poor [3] technique average [5] playmaker
solid [8] passing poor [3] striker

Ouch for the stamina which could have easily gone elsewhere.

Maybe as an early season 20yo, but not this late. Even with his talent, he'll struggle to improve pace to a serviceable level. Could be okay for a D2 team with a free training spot.

Nicole's sum as a MID is higher than Boutsianis. But he's a bit behind Pilic for ATT. Would say he'll be a good winger if that's how you decide to train him.

My lot...

Talent 4.5. I got excited last week when he was 10, but dropped back to 9 this week. Still okay as a 17yo striker trainee. Will sell.

Talent 6. Skills all over the place.

Matt Hicks, age: 18, height: 173 cm

pace [1] hopeless, defender [9] very good
technique [2] unsatisfactory, playmaker [1] hopeless
passing [8] solid, striker [9] very good

Talent 6.7. SA says he's a defender.

Would like to sell him, hopefully I can get a good price. Do you think i should train him?
2024-08-16 07:42:19
I mean the decision is yours if you’re talking about Nicole here.

If you sell at a good time you should get something for him. You can check the various transfer tools and plugging in your players skills and get a gauge as to what the price might be. I suspect it will be decent.

Before you do, consider this:

1) Have you got 10 trainees now at the moment?
2) Is Nicole better than any of those 10?
3) If keeping Nicole would that fit into your current training plan?
4) If you sell do you have plans for what you’d do with the money?

If no to 2 or 3 then selling is probably my recommendation
If no to 1 and yes to 2 and 3 I’d look at keeping and training
4 is mostly a question to think about where you’d invest that money.
2024-08-16 07:50:14
Looking at recent transfers the price varies quite a bit between 6 digits and 7 digits. So taking a conservative price I’d think you’d safely get somewhere around 200k minimum but could go up to 1m if you get a few interested buyers.

Thanks a lot for an insightful suggestion. My answer is Yes to all 4 :), thats why the question whether to sell or train. But i will keep and train him unless some offers crazy money lol.

I will let you (and the rest of the aus community) know where he sits once I get back to Australia and have access to my database again

I got 2 this week. May have finally got a young player to train after a long dry spell.

Not sure about his talent, because he was only in for 7 weeks.

Kyle Carter, age: 16, height: 173 cm
value: 56 400 AU$, wage: 1 000 AU$

stamina [0] tragic, keeper [1] hopeless
pace [3] poor, defender [3] poor
technique [7] good, playmaker [4] weak
passing [5] average, striker [2] unsatisfactory

-------

YS talent is 4, but I don't he'll sell.

Danny Rex, age: 18, height: 186 cm
value: 57 600 AU$, wage: 1 040 AU$

stamina [4] weak, keeper [0] tragic
pace [5] average, defender [1] hopeless
technique [3] poor, playmaker [5] average
passing [4] weak, striker [7] good
