Asunto: Youth players
That's okay. I'm more interested in him finding a friendly home where he'll be guaranteed to get better training than I can give him. I also think he'll be one of the few 16yo players listed for those days and a good chance for a pace skill up before the deadline. Unless someone's willing to make an offer I cant refuse to list beforehand... ;)

Tbh it's hard to find a "friendly home" for such player, he will simply go to the one who wants to pay most for him... barely any decent 16s so you'd get very good money if you listed him today. Thursday - significantly less in my experience, usually even players sold Monday-Wednesday go for less than on weekends.
And I'm sure Vampyr for example will be interested in getting him even if he goes for a high sum, and he'd take good care of him ;)
As for price I would say you would get at least around 2 500 000 $ for him if sold on first weekend

Do you think the value would drop that much? I figured managers buying trainees at this level would be thinking more long term. Looking at the 16yo listed so far, he'd be one of the best.
Thing is that if You sell him after training it may mean he popped in some skills. Other than that such early 16y will always be a lottery, so any negative sign You give to a potential seller will decrease his value :)
I see your point. For a fresh pull, they could be close to the next level. So one week of training removes that doubt yet doesn't prove talent. Hence borkos saying sell now or after 2-3 weeks when talent is known, taking the risk as seller, instead of the buyer taking the risk.
Exactly
Either you sell him now and the buyer takes the risk on himself (and some pay even up to 20 000 000 $ going completely in the dark about talent) or you check the talent yourself and the risk is yours - a typical lottery, either he gets fast pops, good talent graph and then the price might get higher, or it turns out he is not talented and you sell him without talent graph (and people with money, who know what they're doing, will see that you trained him, so if sold fast without info - probably he has bad talent.
Plus: if sold after training, then as mangol says - people will assume he already improved in 1+ skills so he might be "empty" in the subskills (and those more active will check this forum looking for his "fresh from youth school" skills to compare)
My advice would be:
a. sell now
b. keep him for a couple of weeks, train ONLY in playmaker, hope he gets a couple of straight jumps after 1 training and keep him as long as other skills improve on their own from general training, then sell with good talent graph (if possible) and skills after they all popped
a. being less risky but still money rewarding, b. being more risk and potentially much less or much more money rewarding
the issue with b. is that you don't have a plus so you won't be able to prove the talent easily... unless you use some kind of outside tool for tracking training / talent

As a benchmark for him...
Fa'Arodo has MID sumskill = 16, with [5] pace
Players that were sold today:
Touliatos, ss 16 pace [4] - 3 943 593 $
Hruszowiec, ss 16 pace [3] - 2 540 000 $
Declerck, ss 17 pace [5] - 5 649 000 $
Karadag, ss 18 pace [4] - 8 168 701 $
Hruszowiec went for least because he is Polish
IMO Fa'Arodo would have went for a price in range between Touliatos and Declerck

Not intending to go against the wisdom here, I couldn't connect to list before the update, so here we are, listed ending Thursday. He still has a lot going for him. He'll soon be the only 16yo listed and only a fool would list a better 16yo now, so maybe that will help.
I hope his value is closer to Declerck but we'll see. The main thing is getting the best training and it will be a nice little boost for my finances. One day I hope to have the staff to train a young gun like this.

Whatever you get, it will be a nice boost. That is definitely the fun of the youth school. It's a risk but it's one of the fun risks in the game
Who knows, maybe you will get more, let's see if he pops tomorrow :) one of the advantages is that new owner will be able to play him at Friday for training... other "fresh youths" will be available to play only for league games and that is often an issue (for example for me) :)
You will definitely get good money for him, I hope you use it well.

Oh no. Due to some personal issues since this morning, I couldn't log in to join the bidding. Had the reminder all set up but missed it. So sorry for this. Will try to convince the guy who bought him to resell asap. Although it's a shame you didn't get the amount you wanted. I would surely doubled the sum.
I bid him up to 2 500 000 $ (mostly with mangol) but then stopped since I don't pay such sums for players anymore, just wanted to make sure he doesn't get sold way under value....

No problem, these things happen. His new club should look after him. Maybe I overrated him. Honestly, I thought there'd be more interest in a 3rd week 16 year old with sum 17 and 5 pace with his potential. Let's see what he can become.
Now to put the extra cash to good use!
Also, I'm selling Matera, one of my better trainees. 5 weeks to 12 defending. He's right on the fringe of selection for U21 Aus but just a fraction short.
Ray Matera, age: 21, height: 171 cm
value: 431 200 AU$, wage: 4 680 AU$
club: Apex, country: Australia
form [14] brilliant, tactical discipline [9] very good
stamina [5] average, keeper [1] hopeless
pace [12] outstanding, defender [12] outstanding
technique [2] unsatisfactory, playmaker [7] good
passing [6] adequate, striker [2] unsatisfactory
