there's an option at the bottom of the main page that says "Ranking Update"...
it does it in 30-45sec and then you get the whole lot!
promotion, relegation, qualification and ranking table!

Yeah!

I'm #2, I'm #2, I'm #2....

Just doesn't quite have the same ring to it does it?

sorry to say but you sound just like a french man at the olympics...

Legend!

Good to see you in 2nd there mate, you are definitely the 2nd best team this season
2008-08-23 09:00:42
lol 2nd behind TBF is almost as good as first ;)

A bit of a shock to be at 6th and within a stone-throw of 4th.

Funny to see some of the teams in the div2 relegation table. A pity the poor fool who has to line up against Bears. :p
2008-08-23 11:10:20
hehe 4th overall. Looks like unless something drastic happens, I'm heading back for the A League just when I got use to not having to worry about TBF :(.

w00t number 60! moving up surely but slowly

I admire the effort that someone has gone to in producing this 'ranking'. But seriously, these rankings are about as accurate as a blind quadraplegic dart thrower.
2008-08-23 12:46:44
yep except they influence sponsorship money a little bit I'm pretty certain, so you may as well strive for higher ranking points ;).

It's a big shame to be losing such top managers. Most notably TerjeH and tigerTUFF, both giants of Sokker Australia slipping away.
Sokker is still fresh for me. I've just entered my 3rd year in the game and still as keen as ever.

Maybe we need some sort of membership drive to get some more Aussies into the game. The new managers we're getting are quality, but we need more volume too.

Yeah that's true, but it doesn't exactly help either that unless you search explicitly on google for "sokker" it doesn't appear in the top 2 or 3 pages (each page listing like 10 searches).

There's two things we need, 1) to get managers in
and 2) keeping them and improving their knowledge of the game.

1) is hard to do without breaching other games and trying to drag players away from games they're already use to.

I think what kills most people off is the complexity and instead of hanging around battling it and figuring out what each thing does in the lower divisions for a couple of seasons they tend to just give up and leave. Time is the other important factor as well.

Don't think we've lost TigerTUFF just yet, still keeps training players for us currently but we need a few more of these newer players to start to come through and challenge 2nd division sides. We already have a few doing so already which is great to see but the more we get the better :).
