Too early to call positions 3-6 in A-League this season.

3. FCM (35-22) 21
4. PRT (36-27) 19
5. Tribe (28-30) 19
6. TBF (32-29) 17

FCM Tigers should be favourites away against Tribe after drubbing them 5-0 in the first round of the season and with Tribe missing two starters to injury or suspension. A win for Tribe could see them finish as high as 3rd. A loss and they can drop to 6th. A win for FCM will secure 3rd. A draw is likely to also be enough unless PRT win big over The_Comets. A loss for FCM and a win for PRT would see them slip to 5th.

PRT vs The_Comets was a 2-2 draw the first time they played. PRT will be without the services of Di Tullio (suspension) and have some large looking transfers in the works. The_Comets will be fielding $5milllion man Risto Itäpalo for the first time. A PRT win will ensure a top 4 placing. A PRT loss could see them drop all the way to 6th.

TBF at home will start favourites over GG, but they only beat them 1-2 in the season opener. Of course TBF didn't have Hugo Badé up front at that stage. GG have a number of important players sitting on 2 yellow cards and they may well be protected for the qualifier. A win or draw for FCM and a loss for PRT could see TBF finish top 4. A draw or loss will see them finish 6th.

Seems like finally I get a bit of a lucky break. Missing Blute might not be so bad now that Di Tullio is also ruled out. Risto Itapalo played today as a matter of fact despite being slightly injured, which ultimately cost us that 2nd goal when he gave away a penalty. So technically it would be his 2nd official match for us but the 1st with him being fully fit.

I'm hoping to end with a victory, but the other matches are sure to be interesting in the battle for the final spots.

Forget it now, an upset loss today means it aint gonna happen. Don't know what happened 23 shots to 9 and lost 2-3 after being down 0-2. Also 3 send offs in the game 2 on his side before I lost one. Thought for sure I would win. Well now it is down to the last game with 1 Vs 2 to playoff for the league Title. Think the same happened last season.

23 shots to 1 and i still only won 0-2. I had three strikers and he realy only had 2 defenders. How did I miss 21 times?

with the second last round over, it has seen a few changes to the promotion/relegation matches.

The biggest of which are Melbourne Victory and Shore chills at present are now in relegation matches, pushed there by tong Fc and Sheffield wednesday respectively.

And on the other side of things, Stamford rangers and civilwar fc have put themselve in qualifying matches sending Eagles U19 and Vikings road fc down to second for another season yet.

Currently those who must play a relegation match (or are auto relegated) are as follows (I will list them from weakest div 2 team to strongest.)

Newcastle knights
Swingers United
Rapido
Canberra
Team Moose Power
Taigum Terriers
Phoenixfire FC
Kings of Australia
Rail riders
Thecharasmatic llarmas
Larisa United
Teen Girl Squad
Forest Green Rovers

Those that definately ave qualifying match or are getting promoted are as follows.

Larikan FC
Fallen Angels
Collie Lions
Melbourne Victory FC
Raging Parabolas
CNF
Snappa Serpents
(space as this spot hasnt been decided)
Newcastle Titan
(space)
(space)
(space)
(space)
FC Victoria Orchard

Now those that its come down to the last round to try and stay in div 2

Real Galah and meamegamogamegan
Melboune Victory and Tong FC
Shore Chillz and Sheffield Wednesday

Those that want a go at div 2

DVS_Strikers and Moo's 11
Derexiv United and Valentine FC
Forty niners and Yogics army
Notvery athletic and MUFC
Stamford rangers and Vikings road fc
Worldclass Utd and Wernham Hogg
Civilwar FC, CE principat and Eagles U19

oh and there are now only 3 undefeated teams in div 3 as Raging parabolas drew, therefore surrending their auto promotion to Melbourne victory fc

Im pretty sure RP's drew 0-0
2007-06-12 05:28:44
it has been corrected :P
2007-06-12 06:53:00
do one for div IV as well? :P that is, if you have the time to do so...
2007-06-12 10:06:24
Melboune Victory vs KoA
Tong FC vs Losers

C'mon Losers, do me a favour!! You're already in 3rd place, and I have no chance of overtaking you... You also have no chance of overtaking Tollygunge anyway...

Edit: Maybe I should have won my last two matches, would have made it much easier for me... :/

haha thats almost as bad as me asking Tg to go easy on me. Actually my guess would probably be more reasonable, as if I was to get promoted, you would have an easier A-League side relegated :P

Think of those poor III leaguers when I drop down!
2007-06-12 12:08:03
Just a question, if hypothetically *cough* i did lose my next match, which League III team would I be playing against?
