35.7 League II.01
35.3 League II.02
34.4 League II.04
2007-06-18 07:52:24
it didn't change significantly anyway :p. You can also stop bagging II.02 as being easiest on ratings value ;).

2007-06-24 09:13:29
Im gonna do a bit of a naph here

Achmids Soul vs Gondor Guardians

1st II.01 vs 7th A-League

Past encounters
Achmids Soul - Gondor Guardians 1:3 Australia Cup
Achmids Soul - Gondor Guardians 5:1 Battrick League

In this Aus cup match Gondor dominated possession, play in half and the shot count. A Blazejewski scored off a penalty kick to lead the game at the 51st minute but coming into the final third of the match Gondor started piling ont he goals.

Foley led the way with two goals in 4 minutes and Heubach slotted ina final goal to seal the result.

In the battrick league match, possession and play in the half was similar, but the shot count was 15-4 to achmids soul.
Blazejewski scored all 5 goals, and Pondeljak was red carded in the 11th minute.

Hutchinson was the only person to score for Gondor and may prove to be the underdog to Foley in the upcoming match

Key Players:
Achmids Soul

2.4million dollar Blazejewski has proved himself with 31 goals in II.01 this season and should prove to be a handful for Gondor to contain

Pondeljak topped the assists in II.01 with 10...5 ahead of teammates Grot and Dini. Unfortunately he has been red carded coming into this crucial game

Yturgoyen will be solid in defence, which took 19% of the defensive play for achmids in he Aus cup match.

Gondor Guardians

2million dollar import, Rolnik has been sitting in goals for gondor and consistently getting mark in the mid 50's. This may be one goalie any middle range strikers won't be able to get past.

26yo Foley may never play for Australia again, but his 80 goals in 112 matches may once again prove to be the difference between being relegated and staying in the top league of Australia.

Faria in the backline (with 27 NT caps) and Maras (2 caps) should prove to be a solid defense against the foreign forward line of Achmids Soul.

Anastasiadis also has experience playing for Australia and will be valuable in stopping Achmids mids from giving the connecting passes to their forwards

Capped players:
Achmids Soul
Stephen O'Neill (18) - GK
Greg Cunico (20) - DEF
Clayton Osman (22) - DEf
Damien Pondeljak (24) - MID/ATT
Peter Richter (22) - ATT

Gondor Guardians
Noah Faria (28) - DEF
Cormac Maras (24) - DEF
Wesley Anastasiadis (23) - DEF/MID
Kai Berland (25) - ATT (Norge NT)
Danny Foley (26) - ATT

Injuries/Red cards
Damien Pondeljak - Red Card - Achmids Soul

Recent Transfers (in the last fortnight)
Gareth Ward - Achmids Soul

Achmids Soul
Where the game will be won

The combinations of Blazejewski and Pondeljak has proved to be what won it for them in II.01 but with Pondeljak the other mids Grot and Dini must stand up in attack to set up Blazejewski or newly capped Richter.
The manager has prided himself on tactics to come up trumps against much better teams then themselves, and if they are to win this, that is where it will happen.

Where the game will be lost

The young backline of Achmids Soul may prove to be their downfall. Yturogen and Osman will have to lead if they are to hold out the forwards of Gondor Guardians

Gondor Guardians
Where the game will be won

Gondor have always been known to have a rock solid defence. With 3 NT Defenders they should be able to hold out Achmids Soul until penalties.
Gondor have also been known for their strikers with the defender skill, repeatedly stealing balls off their oppositions backline and running in to score in one on one chances.

Where it will be lost

Gondor have had a poor season in A-League this season, constantly showing that their defense can now be compromised. Through balls have been their major downfall, and unless something is changed, may see them in II.01 next season.

My Tip

Achmids Soul - Gondor Guardians 1-3.

The quality of the defense will be what separates these teams and prove to be a similar scoreline to that seen in the Aus cup.

Roar FC vs Tribe

1st II.04 vs 6th A-League

Past encounters

Roar FC - Tribe 1:3
Roar FC - Tribe 0:3

In the earlier match, Scarparaolo Scored two goals whilst a now retired player from Roar FC managed to slot home an own goal.

In the most recent match tribe dominated possession, and the shot count. Ex member Midtsian scored 2 goals whilst Hirons slotted home a single goal.

It was however Gomułka who tried to lead a comeback for Roar but failed to have any more shots on target with his mids not giving him the connecting passes.

Key Players

Roar FC
Quinten Schreyen was the leading scorer for Roar FC in II.04 this season with Scott Ward Scott ward hot on his heels in 3rd.

Olgierd Jastrzębiec and Sylwester Zienkowicz should prove to be great assests to a possible upset against Tribe setting up 9 of Roars 49 goals int he season.

Błażej Nieszkowski will be the brick wall int he defence of Roar with his central position, and getting ratings in the 50's

Tribe

It's no secret that Tribes Croxall and Hirons would be key players if they were both fit but Croxall is out for 10 days and Hirons is in only his 6th official match after coming off a long series of injuries.

It will be the underdogs in Tribes lineups that will be what upsets the Roar defense. Nawałka and Winkens that will cause the midfield of Roar some trouble.

Wells with his experience int he back line for Australia will be chanting on his first line of defense to stop Roar from getting to the very defensive 2nd line.

Capped Players
Roar FC
Jeffrey Wilkinson (21) - DEF
Błażej Nieszkowski (25) - MID (Polska NT)

Tribe
Safri Tan Abdullah (23) - DEF (Malaysia NT)
Jose Wells (22) - MID
Marco Croxall (22) - MID/ATT
Kris Hirons (21) - ATT

Injuries/Red Cards
Marco Croxall - Injury 10 days - Tribe

Roar FC
Where the game will be won

The Roar's midfield has been what has done it for them all season. This I do not expect to change allowing for a lot of attacking play to trouble the Tribe defence. Olgierd Jastrzębiec and Sylwester Zienkowicz will cause havoc in the midfield unless Tribe dont give them any room to move.

Where the game will be lost

Roar have never been known to perform well against attacking sides. Their defense leaves a lot to be desired but with the addition of Błażej Nieszkowski that may all have changed. Also with the very defensive Frogmeisters in their league, they may have learnt a bit about defensive play and could well use this to their advantage in this game.

Tribe

Where the game will be won

If the midfield of Tribe can set up Hirons in this match, it will be over before it even starts. Hirons should have no problems with getting through the Roar defense.

Where it will be lost
Tribe have a much weaker defense then a lot of other top teams which is why they have got so many players defending. This may be one of the smarter changes in their tactic which has shown to really push top sides of A-League this season. Malaysian superstar Safri Tan Abdullah will be trying to prove his worth int e Australian competition

My Tip

Roar FC - Tribe 3:5

With Tribe going into their 3rd relegation match and roar fc going into their 3rd promotion match, both teams have a lot to play for. however I don't believe Roar will have what it takes to knock over Tribe this season and will once again be left dominating II.04
It should be a very aggressive game with lots of goals scored and one for the spectators

****Final Qualifying match coming soon, I just want some lunch*******

Krayzee Coconuts vs The Black Flashes

1st II.03 vs 5th A-League

Past Encounters
None

Key Players
Krayzee Coconuts

Hungarian born Bátor Városi has scored 99 goals in 86 matches and will be hoping to make that 100 or more in this match. He averaged just over a goal a game in II.03 to sget 2nd top goal scorer.

Leading Assistor in II.03 Karl Blake will be looking to impress against an A-League team, averaging 1 assist every 2nd game.

Nahuel O'Neill will no doubt be guarding the goal again for krayzees but will van steeden come on to replace him again? Only time will tell

Recently capped Joe Poiser will be looking to backup from last nights debut for Australia and prove that he deserves to be there in the long run. However he hasnt played too many official matches for the coconuts but with the recent experience for Australia may just get the call up.

The Black Flashes
(this is gonna take some time)

Hugo Badé proved to cause some problems for the A-League sides scoring 15 goals. This was certainly a nice buy to the extremely strong TBF side.

Timpano and Zdrillic will be valuable int he midfield (as will the rest of the star studded midfield) averageing marks of 55.3 and 53.0 respectively.

North the most experienced black flashes player, will be right int he thick of things showing that his 36 matches for his country, and agaisnt some of the tp opposition in the world was not just a waste of time.

Capped Players

Krayzee coconuts
Joe Poiser (20) - DEF
Andrew Sabljak (22) - DEF

The Black Flashes
Danny Rose (19) - DEF
Steve Naumovski (28) - DEF
Steven Maninga (19) - DEF
Jeremy Timpano (23) - MID
Shane Thompson (20) - MID
Jim Schwarzer (20) -MID
Alex Galal (24) - MID
Grant Zdrilic (23) - MID
Stephen North (23) - MID
Cameron Vasilevski (21) - ATT
***10 players, can anyone ay Aus vs Krayzees***

Injuries/Red card

Bonoventūras Krotkovas - Injury Slight

Recent Transfers

None

Krayzee coconuts
Where the game will be won
The defence will be what wins this game for Krayzees, they need to not only stop The Black Flashes from setting up their strikers, but find a way to put through balls past the midfield and into the feet of Varosi

where the game will be lost
In this case, it isnt where the game will be lost, just more how far outclassed they are. They have done well to be the least experienced of the Div 2 teams vying for promotion but have managed to pull the most experienced team.

The Black Flashes
Where the game will be won

The game WILL be won in the midfield. The onslaught of that many Australian players will be too much for krayzees.

Where the game will be lost
This will be more a manager issue then a player or field issue. If Footballgod believes he has it won and doesnt change his tactic he could be in for a big suprise. Krayzees know their current tactic will not beat footballgod and will have to change it to win.

My Tip

Krayzee Coconuts - The Black Flashes 1:5

This game will be very one sided, and it will be footballgods midfield vs krayzees defence. The only chance krayzees have of winning is taking it to a penalty shootout which means they need to nullify the entire midfield. Unfortunately krayzees will be staying in II.03 to continue the fight to jsut be in the top 4
