Krayzee Coconuts vs The Black Flashes

1st II.03 vs 5th A-League

Past Encounters
None

Key Players
Krayzee Coconuts

Hungarian born Bátor Városi has scored 99 goals in 86 matches and will be hoping to make that 100 or more in this match. He averaged just over a goal a game in II.03 to sget 2nd top goal scorer.

Leading Assistor in II.03 Karl Blake will be looking to impress against an A-League team, averaging 1 assist every 2nd game.

Nahuel O'Neill will no doubt be guarding the goal again for krayzees but will van steeden come on to replace him again? Only time will tell

Recently capped Joe Poiser will be looking to backup from last nights debut for Australia and prove that he deserves to be there in the long run. However he hasnt played too many official matches for the coconuts but with the recent experience for Australia may just get the call up.

The Black Flashes
(this is gonna take some time)

Hugo Badé proved to cause some problems for the A-League sides scoring 15 goals. This was certainly a nice buy to the extremely strong TBF side.

Timpano and Zdrillic will be valuable int he midfield (as will the rest of the star studded midfield) averageing marks of 55.3 and 53.0 respectively.

North the most experienced black flashes player, will be right int he thick of things showing that his 36 matches for his country, and agaisnt some of the tp opposition in the world was not just a waste of time.

Capped Players

Krayzee coconuts
Where the game will be won
The defence will be what wins this game for Krayzees, they need to not only stop The Black Flashes from setting up their strikers, but find a way to put through balls past the midfield and into the feet of Varosi

where the game will be lost
In this case, it isnt where the game will be lost, just more how far outclassed they are. They have done well to be the least experienced of the Div 2 teams vying for promotion but have managed to pull the most experienced team.

The Black Flashes
Where the game will be won

The game WILL be won in the midfield. The onslaught of that many Australian players will be too much for krayzees.

Where the game will be lost
This will be more a manager issue then a player or field issue. If Footballgod believes he has it won and doesnt change his tactic he could be in for a big suprise. Krayzees know their current tactic will not beat footballgod and will have to change it to win.

My Tip

Krayzee Coconuts - The Black Flashes 1:5

This game will be very one sided, and it will be footballgods midfield vs krayzees defence. The only chance krayzees have of winning is taking it to a penalty shootout which means they need to nullify the entire midfield. Unfortunately krayzees will be staying in II.03 to continue the fight to jsut be in the top 4

Good stuff Graeme. Don't agree with alot of it but it's good anyway :D

My leading scorer Schreyen won't actually be playing for me. Also I think you'll find I have one of the best defences in Australia :)

well it looks like Phoenix Fire threw the game when I look at their previous game ratings compared to the Qual game. But that means I move up...will be tough

I don't know why my defenders even bothered showing up today. They were worse than useless as they waved Ward and Gomulka through or set them up with deft back-heels.

I haven't gone back to check but I think 8-1 is the worst pasting I've ever received in a competitive game.

Things actually looked pretty good for us up 1-0 early with a nice cross from Gaiani finding Zikus. After that it was Roar FC show for the next 20-30 mins as they won almost every 50-50 ball and Ward and Gomulka ran riot. Things just went from bad to worse from there.

Hmm, well I lost 4-1 so I won't be promoyed to Div II just now but due to the loss of my keeper in the 25th minute I was expecting to lose. Though without my keeper I think my defence held up pretty well, considering one was a trainee.

ha yeh predictions were way off, oh well, ill try predicting again next season :D

Anyway m happy to finally be promoted, and there are two other div 3 sides coming up with me.

Looks like II.03 really is weaker then II.01 haha, the only team not to promote, but seriously, they did have the hardest opponent.
All the games were great to watch. mine kept me on the edge of my seat especially in the last 20 when the ball was all around my goal

Was a comprehensive win though a bit lucky to get 8-1. My defenders did the same stupid things but because I was playing with four it was only really the wide defenders that got beaten or gave the ball away stupidly.

Ward's easily one of the best strikers in Australia and playing with 3 defenders was costly. I'd back my midfielder's to find my striker's every time (and I think almost every pass they made went to my striker's feet) and if he receives a ball in between them Ward's basically unstoppable.

Was really worried early on though as Hirons should have slotted another to make it 2-0, but Neill in divine form was always going to be hard to beat.

The substitution of Ursache to Pierce wasn't meant to happen and it cost me as Wells wouldn't have been able to tackle Ursache at all whereas he could tackle Pierce all the time, even from side on and behind. It was a conditional order left from the week before and I can't believe I missed it considering I checked the orders about 20 times.

Was probably lucky not to concede another 1 or 2 goals but I could have scored a few more at the same time after hitting the post and crossbar about a combined 5 times.

Overall am absolutely delighted with the win obviously. Finally into the A-League and to do it so comprehensively was even better. Just a shame it was at the expense of you naph, because you had so much to Sokker Australia and you really didn't have a bad season by any stretch of the imagination!

I have a feeling the teams vying for promotion next season into A-League are going to be fricking tough
2007-06-24 12:29:32
Bon Voyage Andy! At least i get 2 new teams for next season :-| with Megan, TGS, and TT all winning their matches
2007-06-24 12:29:46
Don't even have to think of the promotion I'm thinking how tough is the A League going to be next season :o. Not looking forward to next season at all. I've gotta find a way to knock off Boyd to give myself some advantage over the bottom 4.
