Asunto: Promotion/Relegation

2007-06-24 12:29:46
Don't even have to think of the promotion I'm thinking how tough is the A League going to be next season :o. Not looking forward to next season at all. I've gotta find a way to knock off Boyd to give myself some advantage over the bottom 4.

haha, its a new look a league all right, cant rmemeber when 3 teams have been promotoed to a league and the fourth match there was only 1 goal in it

Very scary league. I only think 4 teams have what it takes to win the league (Comets, FCM, PRT and TBF IMO) but I think every team could also get relegated VERY EASILY, including those four.
2007-06-24 12:42:40
id agree with that. I think most teams face a relegation mach int heir first season and I normally base my opinion on, if you get hrough the first season in A_League, you probably have a rgeeat chance of staying, but look what happened this season, looks like australia is getting much tougher and soon it may be extremely difficult to stay in div 2

I can remember the last time 3 sides got promoted to A League ;).

As for the games, I watched the Tribe v Roar game and just from watching as soon as I saw the back 3 option from Tribe I knew there was going to be trouble. Although really the sting went out of the attack once Hirons got injured and the Roar midfield just took over.

I feel sorry for naphtali, did all the hard work to avoid a qualification game to fall at the final hurdle and ended up with one of the hardest opposition teams from the 3 playing qualification matches.

No doubt I'm sure you'll bounce back strongly next season and I hope to see you back in the A League soon.

On the other side of the coin congratulations to Roar and Achmid's Soul who both progress to the highest league in Australia, and The Black Flashes who survive for another season, and look forward to the challenges that come next season.

GAH!!!!! Only just managed to get on the internet now, was playing up at home, and it played my second string team, dammit!!!!!!! No more good money >_
2007-06-24 12:53:38
lol...that sucks. Well I guess you have a season of winning lots and then you will be back into the good money. would probably be nice to start flogging other teams again
2007-06-24 13:05:55
Haha, GG. Should be fun. Atleast the league ratings will improve.
2007-06-24 13:09:02
It will be nice for you to have different opposition now, its no fun losing to me :P

Now watch, you will be the team to replace me next season haha

I wouldn't mind auto-promoting for Chelsea FC, tbh.

Worst A-league lineup ever.
2007-06-24 13:13:57
Ha wtf, who was in A-League back in yourtime when there was 40 users hehe.

its just about time some new blood went into a league.

II.01 and II.04 has been knocking on the door for ages.
2007-06-24 13:23:02
Exactly, there were like 40 users, so the A-league was the best collection of teams at that time. When you have Tribe, GG and TG sitting in II, especially TG, it's the worst A-league line-up ever.
2007-06-24 13:28:20
lol just mean there is a new generation of a leaguers, if they were truly better teams they wouldnt be sitting where they are (mind you luck does play a part and so does bad tactics).

There are probably 16 top sides so i can see the same teams going in and out of aleague regularly now
2007-06-24 13:29:33
I think it comes down to a matter of opinion. Every season gets harder as teams improve. As for yourself, you only have yourself to blame for being in II. Twice you played 2nd string sides in crunch games :p.
2007-06-24 13:30:38
was it PRT and losers? because he doesnt tend to forget against me damn him. its ok, i still came away with wins, but our games are generally even
2007-06-24 13:31:00
On any given day, virtually any side can defeat any other. This is what makes sokker such an interesting game as you can start later than someone and still have a chance.
