first one is a nice def, but he doesn't need higher technique...passing - yup...

I would go for 2nd, but with this pace he can be another Hirons...but if you play him as a def[on the wing] in the cup/friendly then he should survive. later he will need pace and some playmaking, then he will be a nice winger, or even striker-on-a-wing

thx borkos, the original intent for the first guy was to be a defender, but with my change in training he could make a nice DM or winger (if I get passing up a lot)

The second guy is always going to be a winger. hasnt got the def to be a central, and I dont believe he has the skills to be a great striker.

Any other opinions, one of these two are likely to be sold, but then again, if it is too close to call, someone else may be getting the sac, or not getting trained

He would be a really nice def mid. After pace, def and playmaking training...

Hm...can't you train pace for some time, so both get the needed training?

it is certainly ann option, but more one i will be looking in to the season after this one coming, or even the one after.

Most of my youngplayers in my first 11 have high pace, so really need the pass and tech

bth would make decent striker trainees (not world calss, but still decent). but then again, I train strikers.

Id say, if the second guy had some pace he could already fit into the mitfield, but the first guy needs btoh playmaking and passing befroe they can slot into the mifeidl, so based on that, I will say the second guy

I'd be very worried about #2's pace. You could train him up to be a very handy AM. If you have your heart set on tech & passing then I'd train #1. He's destined to spend his career in the back-line, but could grow to be a valuable def.

Not giving #2 any pace would be a waste of his talent, imo.

What's wrong with selling them both and getting a trainee who needs tech and passing?

1st one needs PM and passing and starts becoming unbalanced if you train his tech

2nd one needs pace, passing and PM. I'd think about bumping him to formidable tech and then moving him on as well.

very good point. it would make more sense to do that...sell two players, and buy one even better player
