Asunto: Australia Cup

out of the 16 teams I could play, there are 4 I would perfer not to, otherwise I will have to consider not using my 2nd stringers, or atleast, setting orders just in case.

ahh, just got eliminated by an A-league team :( I felt I did pretty good considering the league im in, I was up 1-0 for most of the first half too :O, but yea thought I was in for a thrashing when I saw they one 7-0 the week before against a higher league team than me, but yea I got excited lol.

I had a nailbiting match against murter. A former A-League team managed to keep me scoreless for the egular 90 minutes, but thankfully my strikers came through with the good in extra time scoring 3 goals as mids

No shame in losing to FCM Tigers. They are top dog at the moment.

ahah, 3 goals in extra time, nice.

Ok so I reckon all the "favourites" will win but it doesnt mean there wont be a couple of close games.

Namely:

Cumlionibus - Punt Road Tigers - PRT should come away with a victory, but cumlionbus have always been a strong contender, especially in the Australia cup, and have done quite well in div 2 whilst never coming away with the title. This will definitely be a test for PRT whether they use their 1st lineup or 2nd stringers

Larikan FC - The_Comets - Looks like davo wil be playing an NT match here. Larikan FC will be vsing him with 2 NT strikers, and if his tactic and ratings are anything to go by, they arent even his best strikers. Dave I would be careful as to whether you ue 1sts or 2nds

Salgaocar - Tribe - I can't say this game will be close as I think Tribe will run away with a victory, but it is an old last season rivalry and salgaocar has the potential for an upset in them

Shore ChillZ - FC de BEARS - Neither team is particularly active but both with decent lineups, this game could go either way

Not super happy with the draw.

Salgaocar vs Tribe actually goes all the way back to III.02 back in my first season.

does that mean we can expect a new friendly league soon? :P

Im pretty happy with who i got,coz meaga....whatever seems to be going down hill

went from 3rd, to 5th, to 7th in II04 and 2 seasons ago made it to the 4th round of aus cup, 3rd round last yr....

he'd be down in div III in at most 2 seasons

just had a recap of my History from when I took over, here goes.

Team finished League IV.12 in position 2.
Team has been promoted to League III.07.
Team was eliminated from Australia Cup at 2 round.
Team finished League III.07 in position 2.
Team was eliminated from Australia Cup at 3 round.

Its not much, but I'm happy, its all positives for me I'm and atm I'm top of my league and going strong with a 7-0 victory over my last opponents I couldn't be happier. Lets hope I can make it further into the Australia cup next time. :)

by my calculations, with 32 teams left, that allows space for

8 A-League teams + 24 (out of 32) div 2 teams, but no, you allowed space for the div 3's tsk tsk

On the other hand, congrats and the 5 remaining div 3 teams for making it this far, and good luck in your matches tonight, it's always fun to see who the last div 3 team standing is

Hmm yes, I was hoping to come on today and all the games would be back online, but looks like we'l have to set up our tactics blind. I sacrificed my league game for the sake of throwing everything at this Cup game against Railriders (one of the top quality div3 teams).

Definitely chewing the nails off.

mate, with the amount of trouble you seem to be giving to those in a pretty tough div 2 league, you should have no problems beating any div 3 team (except for that one div 3 team out there, that will become a future star...no idea who that is though haha)
