mate, with the amount of trouble you seem to be giving to those in a pretty tough div 2 league, you should have no problems beating any div 3 team (except for that one div 3 team out there, that will become a future star...no idea who that is though haha)

There's a big scalp for Cumlionibus... PRT are out of the Cup. [scream]
We (TMP) eventually got on top of Railriders after a shaky start. Very happy with the result. Not so happy with the injury to my star striker.

This game is fricking gay, once again I gave away anothger penalty kick.
Im starting to think it is a bug because thats another different tactic, with different players. Something must be happening with the chances of me giving away fouls in the box
Oh and they obviously don't want me having any strikers, last match my main striker got injured, and this match the one I just bought got red carded

On the funny side, by the time ET came around, all the players on the field were pretty much walking to the ball their stamina is so bad.
I had 4 players doing al the work, 1 def, 2 mid (one of which is my regular keeper) and 1 striker, as stressful as it as to watch them wak to the ball, it was funny everyone walking so slow.
And even running in to the penalty kick, oh god that was painful, you wished you could just give them a nudge along or something

I'll file that in the classic comebacks drawer I think.
130 official games for Czubala as a defender and he starts the game as our only attacker. He looks lost for almost the entire game. (But still manages his best rating ever, more on that later)
We butcher a few chances from point-blank (Czubala) while Lehtolainen runs through us at will.
29mins: We mob Lehtolainen for whom must surely score soon. He passes off to Kutalis who makes us pay.
Down 0-1
34mins: Red card on A-Team defender leaving their most dangerous striker all alone in a gaping hole in our defense. There seems to be a lot of those (holes I mean) now that we have a 2 man backline against their 3 strikers.
43 mins: Concede a penalty right before the half and they make no mistake. Lehtolainen is absolutely killing us. The Salgaocar faithful are giving us heaps, The small contingent of Tribesmen who made the trip to Queensland look despondent.
51 mins: first half hero Kutalmis has a crack at the-man-of-glass Hirons. Hirons shrugs it off but the ref doesn't like it and Kutalmis joins Winkens on the sidelines. (back to 2-on-2 for our defenders, pity they're still leaving Lehtolainen all alone)
66 minutes and the ball finally goes out of play. We sub two trainees for 2 A-Teamers (Bednarski and Brat) in the midfield, they've got 24 minutes to work some magic.
The subs are making a difference. We're dominating possession and Lehtolainen is left standing all on his own, but without the ball for a change.
71 mins: massive scramble in the box after Hirons takes a corner. Hirons -> Croxall -> Czubala - - (Shoot) -- (deflection) -- Aloisi -- (shoot) -- (deflection) -- its in the net... a miracle.
73 mins: Bednarski goes on a marauding run down the right. Crosses, and finds the diving header of Croxall who puts it in the back of the net. 7 minutes after the double sub and we're back on level terms.
Three more shots for us hitting the woodwork once. Two more shots for them. hitting the woodwork both times. We're going to extra time.
92: Bednarski scores off his own rebound in another goal box scramble.
94: Czubala scores off a corner, the defender goes mental stripping his shirt off and doing a lap of the stadium. Vows never to play in the backline again... (we've got our sports Psych's working on him already.)
112: Brat provides a golden throughball for Alosi who rubs more salt into the wound giving us a handful.
Pandemonium from the loyal Tribe fans as the team run into the stands and are the small band are surrounded by security and later ferried out on the team bus.

If you read this Joe, I'm sorry you've had such bad luck against me. (We came back from 0-2 down to win 4-3 in our last league game last season)

if you have that much time to write and think of that, you can do my large animal health study for my test tomorrow :S
Anyway mate, nice win

You want to talk about penalties, I'd gladly give a penalty away to take away my streak of injuries and suspensions I managed to pick up from my cup match (2 injuries, 2 suspensions) ;). In saying that though, happy with the 3 - 0 win, would have been a lot sweeter if I didn't happen to lose not 1 but 2 defenders to injuries. Looks like Blute is going to have to go into the game against Tribe with a slight injury since I'm short of defenders, or else I'll need to come up with some other solution. Interesting times, but I still remain in the cup.
Zawadinski is the only real A-Teamer you've got out though. Winkens will join him on the sidelines with his red card.
Etherington will step in and get 39-40 for you. I'd rather be trying to score on him I must admit. Of course if you want to play less than 5 at the back I'm sure the boys up front will get over it.
Winkens' absence will see either Popovic or Mihalcea drop into the backline and Augerinos will murder whoever that happens to be :P (Czubala might stay close to him and ask for striking tips though)

Haven't seen the game, but 15 shots and no goals tells me I shouldn't either.
Nice win for Columnibus
Nice win for Columnibus
van Esch (Cumlionibus Keeper) had an absolute blinder, especially for a guy only getting mark 45.
Depends if Blute recovers in time or not and if I decide to play him SI. Also Boutsianis when in form I would consider an A-team player but as a result of his form he hasn't been in the first team too often this season.
Yeah noticed Winkens was out which evens it out and we'll wait and see how Blute comes up.
Etherington is all marks and nothing else. He's only still around in case of emergencies and shortages in defenders, and so may be used off the bench.

Well I thought Sokker had decided I would not advance further this season. Totally dominating but strikers hitting the woodwork and missing completely open goals. Then they scored!!!
Managed to get a goal late and then ran away with it in extra time.

I really wish they'd fix form.
As much as I love having Croxall and a couple of others bouncing off the ceiling of divine. Having guys like Link and O'Neill dribbling along the floor at tragic to poor and back again for seasons on end has sucked.
O'Neill isn't quite that bad any more as he has actually reached the dizzying heights of adequate this season and is currently back at average. He's currently on 25 weeks below good though.
Edit: I'm now a mile off topic and won't keep derailing things I promise

I still dont know waht influences form, people say 1 game, 2 a week or none, others find that after injuries they go the opposite way, and ive personally found that when I buy players their form goes the opposite way to what they started
i guess we'll have to wait til next week for the friendly leagues to begin, since most of the A-leaguers are still in the cup....
yeh I feel sorry for the unlucky A-Leaguers who have to play Gondor guardians, Krayzee coconuts, Frogmeisters and Team Moose Power.
